The speed at which some of those went suggests punters will be happy with performance today .

Some punters perhaps. Still very slow to resolve each time. And by the time the page had loaded most had already gone.

Much better today, managed to snag 5/7 renewals, only missed the 2 smallest. There's a small amount of lag when you refresh bang on the renewal time, but nothing unacceptable.

Thats not what I got. Between 20 secs and 2 minutes to serve the webpage, logged out twice during the process (I was ready for it the second time, the first was right in the middle of bidding). On one attempt it was all gone by the time the webpage refreshed. I got £75 invested in an hour and a half. It's taken me over a year to squeeze a few thousand pounds into Collateral at £25 a pop and now I'm just about keeping up with redemptions as there doesn't seem to be any new pawn loans.

Interesting because for me the site was the most responsive I've known it during renewals. No latency, instant refresh and instant confirmation of Investment Received. Divergent experiences are a little puzzling, can any IT gurus shed any light?

Managed the Full House 7/7 but only because I'm not in work and I'm using my desktop computer. If I'd been at work using my phone I would have been lucky to get just the 9am renewal.
I was refreshing the page in the minute or so leading up to renewal time. About 30 seconds before each loan went live there was a slight pause on refresh so something was occurring behind the scenes at that point.
Good to get £175 invested but 1.5 hours of not being able to do very much this morning.

Only managed to grab bits of the larger availabilities.

Same for me - I'm now in the UK must faster internet, and 95% closer to their server (assuming that it is also in the UK ), same fast i7 laptop, fingers the same and no bots, but it was the same old story (slow refresh, hanging etc). As per usual the only ones I got into were the four figure ones. There was a new take I hadn't spotted before though anyone know what a 'TLS handshake' is, because I spent quite a considerable time waiting for them.

I'd suggest it is down to individual connection speed, browser and possibly the number of hops between your PC and the server, maybe different users are served by different servers? I don't know how COL has their backend setup. I can't run a traceroute because it is disabled on my work PC, but results from different users may shed light.
Edit:
TLS Handshake:
The Transport Layer Security (TLS) Handshake Protocol is responsible for the authentication and key exchange necessary to establish or resume secure sessions. When establishing a secure session, the Handshake Protocol manages the following.
Cipher suite negotiation
Authentication of the server and optionally, the client
Session key information exchange.

The only light I can shed is that if I refresh the Diamond Bracelet loan, which still has availablility so equivalent to before, then it takes under a second. This says to me that it's not my end or the speed between there and here or the google analytics or anything else I have control of, but it is something at Collaterals end. They should be able to bring up data on their server management system showing the minimum, maximum and average speed of serving a webpage over any given time period and from there track the bottlenecks. Fixing the bottlenecks may be somewhat harder but in my experience finding the problem is usually just a matter of analyzing the server logs correctly.

Performance was pretty bad for me today, I got page timeouts and really long refresh times. Didn't manage to get a penny invested in any of the loans - only targeted the 3 bigger renewals with £300 + remaining - which means I only have to be in the first 12 or so but performance was pretty bad; worse than the last big round of renewals we had discussion on above.
Hope others here had better luck than me this time, I did better last time with the staggered releases!

Can't open the website on PC or phone, they are on separate internet connections. This site can’t be reached www.collateraluk.com’s server DNS address could not be found. Try running Windows Network Diagnostics. DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN Collateraluk.com is UP and reachable. The website is probably down just for you...

collateral is one of my preferred sites, but thinking of reducing investments because of website performance. last week or so has not been great for me. no issues with any other sites performance, so not my pc/phone

Not bad today, refresh times were relatively quick, managed to get a bite of the 2 bigger renewals. Although I guess some people may have not bothered logging in given there was less than 500 available across the 4.
