I'm looking forward to reading the VR on this. It seems to me ( having no interest in football whatsoever) that the value of the stadium and grounds would be very much tied to the fortunes of the club who play there? and that unless the land has a very good chance of development for another purpose, the underlying security might be a bit dodgy. Hoping to be proved wrong by a clear objective VR and information on the resident football club.

With all the pressure to build more and more housing, I'd have expected it to be developed by now. LW

LW For info - when this prospective loan was first announced in the pipeline on 6th April it said: "To fund planning & subsequent development of retail & residential on the site".

Would like to know what loan is to be used for? Just to prop up the club (which appears to have had financial difficulties)

Just to prop up the club (which appears to have had financial difficulties) If it's the club I think it is, there's been rumours in the media in the last week and it's been discussed on their forum about the development of a new 15-20k seater stadium, presumably on a new site in the town...?

I'm wondering if there is any chance Ed at moneything would consider putting a bid limit on this. Maybe not for the full 24 hours, but just to give us all a chance to bid. I know it is a fairly sizeable loan, but I am concerned a few big hitters will swallow it, even if we can be bidding dead on 1600.

Morning, We had considered this, however there will be 5 advances in short succession amounting to a total of £2.4m and therefore should be plenty of chance lenders to participate in this loan. If however demand is stronger than anticipated, we can apply bid limits on later advances if required. Kind regards, Ed

Are we allowed to know which club this loan is going to? Not on the forum as that IDs the borrower. If youre an MT member the identity of the club is given in the write up for the Bradford loan MTAG306
