I'm really surprised that this poll hasn't been closed and a new one started. It's unrealistic to presume that votes cast 4 months ago by people who are possibly no longer active on this forum and unaware of current developments, can still be considered valid. Things have moved on, the situation changed, so may have their opinions. And that counts for both sides of the debate. GSV3MIaC - any thoughts on closing the poll and perhaps launching a new one? If you could somehow insert it / merge it into the "THE TIME HAS COME THREAD....", that would be handy. If we do have another then perhaps MoneyThing ought to set it up as and when they have some real possible options (preferably with multiple selections allowed and one of them being "don't really mind/whatever MT consider best for them"). Definitely needs different questions whoever does it anyway - if it were a repeat of the same then even though I'd be happy to accept some form of prefunding (tho can't say I'd be happy with ALL of those proposed in the other thread) I'd probably still vote for the status quo simply because it works OK for me.

Ok, so I'm abit late to the thread so not sure if anything has changed.
I'm new to MT although bern in P2P for a while.
I've only bid on the AE loans the last few days, but I like the way the current system works, although the limit is low, it's like that to give everyone a chance.
I understand it may be frustrating for people with big sums to invest, or people who can be sat in front of a computer at 4pm, but I'm sure slot of investors on here have commitments where they can't be online at 4pm.
Given the current situation of to many lenders and not enough borrowers, I think it's the best way forward at the moment.

I could lock the poll, but I don't see much point in starting a new one right now - if MoneyThing wants to solicit some user opinion (beyond the many pages in the 'time has come' thread) it would be best for them to pick the options. There are still an amazing number of folks who seem to think it is working fine (judging by that thread), and indeed where the limit is guessed right by Ed, and nobody wants to leap in at 4pm, it does work OK. When it fails, it fails fairly spectacularly.
