maybe you should read the update like this: "Timber frames should be going up next week (w/c 10/7/17)": company who made the frame want to get rid of it and be paid for, so they are delivering next week . "Borrower met with contractor today onsite": panic, site is not ready, can we place it somewhere? Well I'm not a builder, but unless there has been substantial work we are unaware of, I don't see how it's possible to get those frames up next week. Honestly, I'm waiting got the update that says they are just doing the final decoration, and still we get pictures of a hole in the wall. Nothing would surprise me any more. Me too. They will increase the valuation and ask for more money to finish the project. Meanwhile the picture of the site will stay as it is. Doesn't FS read this forum?

I'm sure they do, however they are relying on the fact that most of their investors probably don't. It is hard to understand how people can invest in P2P and not be here, even if just lurking. A simple google search for 'P2P' brings up this forum on the first page.

Have you never heard of 'skyhooks'? Extensively used in the field of Engineering that I used to inhabit .....

I think they were out of stock at the time. Actually, come to think of it, I was sent a few places to get them, always out of stock. Seriously though, with every update on this loan, I am starting to feel very angry indeed. This is taking the mickey on a monumental scale. Assuming skyhooks are still tricky to come by, we're going to need some foundations. Can any of you with some knowledge suggest how long it would take to get that site ready for the timber frame? Is it remotely possible it could go up next week?

I'm not in this loan. I have been an investor since November 2013. My maximum investment on the platform was in January 2015 at £28,000. My current exposure is £1,600. The latest photo of the site was taken on the 25/06/17. I am a Civil Engineer BSc. MICE. If frames are being erected they have discovered sky-hooks. FS are a disgrace. Great comment, I've given this a thumbs up. This comment says it all. The sky-hooks were out of stock but it's ok the frames will be held up by the flying pigs.

I realise that the above was intended to be funny, but haven't FS said -- in more than one development situation -- that when they advance additional funds for a project the money goes straight to the suppliers rather than to the borrower so as to avoid the situation where the goods remain unpaid for? The company that made the timber frames indeed may want to get them out of their shop/storage space, but those frames should have been paid for already.

Is it possible to identify this loan by its Reference Number? I am having difficulty finding it just using Whitehaven.

It comes up straightaway. You'll recognise it by the contractors just putting up some nice façade to finish it off. NOT! (Hole in the wall).

Is there any chance of somebody cajoling that local blogger in to taking some more pictures?

Mrs ali is planning to be in Whitehaven this Saturday and is hoping to take some photos. Might be more useful to ask our friendly blogger to take some photos Saturday week.

Well, for the frame to go up next week, a picture from the coming Saturday would tell us all we need to know. My suspicion, not one single thing will have changed and there will be zero chance of the frame going up next week. Of course, I'm just going on the borrowers past record. There is of course a chance that he will be focusing on this and that it has been a hive of activity to get it ready for the frame next week. There is also a chance that I might win the lottery or get hit by a bus, or both in that order knowing my luck.

Update last week is that timber frames are going up on W/C 10th July This weeks update is that the developer is meeting with the council officers on 12th July to organise the road closure to enable the delivery of the timber frames - 3 days to fulfil the foolishly optimistic update from last week!!!
Anyone care to predict the likelihood of timber frames being erected during W/C 10th July. Always assuming the preparatory work has been completed which I frankly doubt. My personal prediction is 0.00%. Hey ho we'll all know next week.

What's the betting that the council requires at least two weeks notice to put a road closure into effect? Add that to 12 July would take us to 24 July. Maybe the foundations will be ready by then.
Edit... I found some references on the Carlisle site which suggested four or six weeks. The Cumbria site must have details somewhere.
