"The in-house Technology team has grown from three to nine over the course of the year. However, we continue to operate very efficiently compared to a number of our competitors."
Crikey, does it really take 9 hackers to maintain the TC website, or perhaps there are 8 bosses looking over the shoulder of a hoodied wunderkind?
I seem to recollect that FC have many rooms full of coders, and MT seem to manage jolly well with a part time (?) SuperShuang.
I wonder if there is an inverse relationship between size of dev team and usability of the end product?

to be fair, there have been quite a few improvements in recent times. All relatively small, but adding up to a better experience (when its accessible.....).

"...We recognise that much of the work done in 2016 has not been directly visible to clients. However, it underpins important Regulatory requirements, security, reliability and enablers of future functionality. We now have established a firm foundation to take the business forward in 2017."
Given where they were likely starting from, this is plausible.

I think there is evidence of two steps forward and one step back as opposed to vice versa over the recent weeks
