I am filling in the registration form for collateral and it says that the email will be the username. 2 questions: 1. Is this shown anywhere on the collateral website or elsewhere? 2. What happens if I need to change the email?

To collateral Your terms and conditions state: 9.6. You confirm that you will not provide your username and password to any third parties. If you choose to breach this Clause then you shall be responsible for any actions performed on your account by the third party. This is unenforceable as since you use the email address as a username it cannot be kept secret. 10.13. Each loan will be for the period specified in the Loan Contract applying to it. The period of the Loan Contract will in all cases be a minimum term of 30 days and a maximum term of 365 days. Aren't Loans on Collateral for 6 months? 12.3. The loan parts may be transferred by way of repayment and redrawing to another lender. What does this mean? 12.4. . . . . . including the right to collect unpaid interest and capital. Does this mean that the seller will loose any interest for that month accrued before putting a loan part on sale?

But your password can be kept secret, and the co-ordinating conjunction in the quoted clause is 'and', not 'or'.

Thanks for the replies, guys. I will register and give it a try. And if the the T&Cs still mention a referral scheme ... there isnt one There are property loans that run for a year and have been since launch (since repaid) Repayment & reissue of loan parts suggest SM purchases remain classified as simple debts which avoids any tax issues (same as SS)

I've just started an attempt to register.
I've hit a problem of sorts. I use a password safe and a password generator, so I can use high strength passwords rather than passwords that I can remember. The fields on the registration form apparently don't allow me to cut and paste these from the password safe. It's not particular easy to type in a random string of characters, especially when you can't see what's been typed. At least having to type the password twice at least minimises the risk of setting a password different from what was intended, but there is a risk of me mistyping my proposed 13 character memorable word. (And indeed on the first two attempts it tells me that the passwords didn't match - I hope that's not an incorrect error message for the password being long than they accept.)
Depending on how logging in is handled, this could be inconvenient as well.

Top of head answer / suggestion... Have you tried Ctrl+V to paste rather than right click and looking for a 'paste' option? I tried Ctrl-V and Shift-Insert. I hadn't tried the right-click, but now I've been reminded of the possibility I find that it doesn't work either.

Ah well, nothing ventured.... If it's any consolation, the actual login page does allow all three paste methods, as does the ' Change My Password' page - at least it does on a Win10/ Chrome combination - so you might have to start with a min spec password and beef it up later. Turns out that after putting in a temporary min spec password as an interim measure I find that electronic identify verification has failed (which wasn't mentioned on the website, but they sent me an email) and the next step involves financial exclusionism. Update: turns out that they are transitioning service providers, and they did succeed in verifying my identity, but unfortunately told me that it had failed first.
