Evening,
Just a quick update to let you know we will have pre-funding available for pipeline loans next week. This will give investors who can't make the 10am slot an opportunity to invest in future loans.
We are also moving to larger servers which will help improve investor experience at loan launch times. We'll give prior notice of the time and date as soon as it's been confirmed.
We will also have some updates on new partners bringing quality loans to the Collateral platform including vehicles, jewellery, watches and property.
Don't forget tomorrows loan goes live at 10am.
The Elms Hotel, Chester Loan value of £525,000 (value £750,000) LTV 70% Loan Term - 6 months Bid limit - None
Now in Pipeline Loans.
The loan provide interest to lenders at 12% pa.
Many thanks,
Gordon

Hi Gordon,
Thanks for the update, I appreciate it. Can you give me some more information about how the pre-funding will work? Will funds be required to be in the account prior to the loan launch etc.
Thanks again.

Hi mtb9, It will be a two step process, pre-fund stage with lower bid limit then bid limit increased at launch time. Yes, pre-funding will require funds transferred to your account. I'll give more details early next week but our main reasons for adding pre-funding have been for investors who struggle to make the 10am slot and to help with performance. Many thanks, Gordon

Good news on the servers. Here's hoping that the pre-funding system doesn't turn out to be a shrapnel generator.

I'm not 100% sure I understand 'prefunding' but if the idea is to allow a longer bidding period to give more people an opportunity (which I'm not at all against) then won't that mean that the loans offered will have to be divided more thinly?
So some loans that will end up with a limit of £20-£30, or less, which won't really be worth bothering with?

I think there have already been loans with a limit about that low. I think there are quite a lot of people who will think it is worth bothering, even at a low limit, but you are right that some won't. Some of the loans will certainly not be affected by this as they have taken quite a while to fill even without limits.

It will be a two step process, pre-fund stage with lower bid limit then bid limit increased at launch time. That's an odd choice. Why have a partial prefunding system that systematically discriminates against night or factory workers and such when a prefunding system can eliminate that? No reason why you can't do it, of course, but why would you want to?

Evening,
We have added a commission screen to the My Account section which will show all earnings outside of interest, so referral commission and cash back will show here.
Also there's a contact us link in the top menu to easily contact us by email.
Many thanks,
Gordon
