Collateral Rep Is it possible for any/all odds-and-sods pre-fund amounts to be amalgamated to just one loan part ? allocated at the close of pre-fund time rather than issuing several/many loan parts ? Should be easy enough as no interest accrues till the loan is live anyway ?

Well I'd chalk this one up as a success Collateral Rep. It seems to have worked very well.

I like Collateral and will continue to funds any future loans I consider risk-worthy. FFF is an issue and I applaud Collateral for attempting to improve the situation but I do not see how the present pre-funding system has achieved anything more than a lower bid limit would have done (if repeated after an interval where the full amount was not subscribed). To some it would also seem an inconvenience having to pre-fund and then bid again later to gain the full bid allocation, although I was personally happy and available to do this. To cap the pre-fund will only lead to a return of the FFFF (the final F for Frenzy) for the actual pre-fund as it would reduce the total available even further. As Collateral grows its lender base, and it will, pre-fund levels may need to be reduced to shrapnel levels to be fair to all and the balance left over as an unpalatable scrap for the pigeons in the park to fight over. Sadly I do not believe there is an equitable answer acceptable to all, particularly for the smaller loans and we must be content to bear some adversity to gain a decent stake or to accept a fair but small proportion of what is available. C’est la vie

Pre-fund worked perfectly. Hybrid option was a surprise as it contiued FFF just on a much reduced availability. Pre-funding might bring forwad FFF if users fear the loan will fill early but would stagger FFF by default if not notified at a fixed time. Of course, lenders would then moan they can't spend all day checking their email/account as with the SS go lives

Looks like you accidentally left the pre-fund facility live on the latest renewal in the pipeline Collateral Rep . Unfortunately, I didn't quite get my £25 deposited fast enough to be able to use it before you pulled the plug. Hope something else comes up I can use it on .

Hi star dust, At the moment we won't be adding pre-funding to renewals because of the small amounts available. Maybe in the future if we have a renewal with a good amount of availability, we can add the pre-funding. Many thanks, Gordon

Many thanks, Gordon That's what I was expecting, but when I logged on there was a pre-fund option live on the BB00191 renewal BB00423. Unfortunately, I didn't have any money in my account to test it with! It was subsequently removed within a few minutes so obviously an initial error. Have to watch out for these eagle eyed investors you know.

When I saw the pre-fund this morning on the renewal I thought I could finally get away from the early morning alarm calls (especially since we seem to be sticking with 09:00 renewals 😢). Ah well, life is full of disappointments....

Good morning Gordon I notice that with the two loans I invsted in after the the prefunding period had end still are showing the PREFUND on the loan details, any resaon for this? Reason I ask is that at later date when i come to check over my purchaes I will not be able to determine which parts of loans I investined via prefunding compared to parts invested after the orrical loan time/date.?

Both the Prefund bid and a later actual bid have their own Loan Part IDs.
The lower Bid Id is the Prefund etc
