If it's any help, I've spoken to Ashwin who has categorically stated that our books were NOT involved. They are safely stored in Sotheby's, and in any case are doubly insured by them and Unbolted.

Thanks Jonno. Been busy all morning and I was going to ring them this afternoon. Sometimes, books and art, are taken from their normal secure storage for exhibitions like the one in America. The report didn't mention the Unbolted book but I wanted to establish that it was ok. Same on FS with Italian portfolio. They are also safe.

If it was one of our books providing the insurance was up to date for us as lenders it would make difference if anything be a good thing as capital would be returned from insurance.

What I wondered was the borrower left out of funds (or did a small platform fund it first?). An update to confirm the exit sale is still in pllace might encourage some further take up ashwinp .

I would guess the loan has been unwritten either by the platfom itself or someone else, I doubt the lender could have waited this long for the rest of the money.

the effective LTV of 34.82% strikes me as a really good for an interest rate of 0.8% per month, i have a fair bit and should be at my limit but this one keeps tempting me to go over my limit.
