Evening,
I appreciate your frustrations and will certainly look into it.
I have had a cursory look at the transaction data and there does seem to be some activity today which is beyond quick-finger abilities.
I will have a further look tomorrow and if I suspect anything untoward I will speak to the user(s) to give them an initial warning and if they then go on to repeat we will take steps.
Kind regards,
Ed

Cheers Ed. Whilst I'm not a fan of FFF I can accept it if we've all got a fair chance. Large percentages being swiped up using bots will affect my future investment decisions if the practice continues.
I got lucky today and managed £40 across two renewals. Having seen the above post it confirms it was completely against the odds!
(7 seconds between my two purchases and I wasn't hanging around in pressing the buttons. Anything less than 5 seconds between transactions looks suspicious to me)

These are today's renewals. The 'guilty' parties know who they are.
PS: Yes - yes I did automate the creation of the above PPS: No - I don't run a bot on MT or any other platform.

Selectively adding ReCaptcha verification to any repeat offenders' accounts would certainly sort it out (I recall mention that Shuang already has it coded and ready).

I would agree to switch it on but only for ppl that are taking the piss for want of a word it does not work with iOS it jumps of screen when picking pictures so might aswel be battling with bots but as Steve states ppl that are clearly abusing things switch it onto there accounts would be best way to go IMO

Google's reCAPTCHA system is a solution ,not ideal but at least it gives every one an equal chance of building a portfolio on MT. Works ok on Savingstream although frustrating at times

Works ok on Savingstream although frustrating at times reCATPCHHA on SS is not a solution. For some it works other like myself the it takes an age to display, then tick the box takes another long delay, for what ever reason for some it's works for others it doesn't, the whole reason behind Goggle reCAPATCHA is questionable, a promotion of Goggle revenue from advertising, the hidden thief adding to our daily costs, blighting our daily life.

There is never going to be a fair solution for renewals, an other option could be that the first 24 hours previous investors can not invest, this will a) stop the bots and b) allow people who have not been able to invest in a loan to be able to.

Having nothing better to do this afternoon I set up a four windows one on each of the loans that had about £170 available. I refreshed the first window at 1 sec past and got a piece that was timed at 8 sec past, which if I read it right was the last piece. By the time I got to the second window there was nothing left. I can touch type and have a fast internet connection and pc, with practice I reckon I could get that down to 5 secs but no less.
Having experience on SS I would say anything but those recaptcha, those road signs drive me mad and mean I never get decent pieces on the SS SM, I have long since given up and just use PM over there.
I know it wouldn't solve the problem on the SM but for the 4 o'clock rush why not just block an account for say 20secs after a purchase, this would I think have spread todays pieces more evenly and fairly.

Thought the limits already achieved that. If the renewal has a limit of £25, only existing investors with <£25 can invest more. Or do the limits not work like that here? I assumed that they did and if they don't, perhaps they should.

You are probably right that maybe one solution is to restrict rollover residuals to new lenders only like CL & FS do

Let's not turn MT into SS. reCAPTCHA is horrible, only apply to offenders. Pre-funding, if introduced, will make it much more difficult to get money invested here. I'll certainly have to reduce my investment on this platform if the vocal minority get their way.

Pre-funding, if introduced, will make it much more difficult to get money invested here. Prefunding would make it easier for people to participate, so more people would get a share and each person would get less than if it is shared between a small number of people with fast internet connections and well trained fingers. Low limits (say £5 for renewals with not much available), which are based on the total amount an invester holds in a loan, combined with a delay before an investor can place their next bid, might be the way forward if you don't like prefunding.

So someone running 3 accounts get pre-funded 3 times as much as me without any effort. Seems fair. I like MT as it is and don't like SS.
