Google 'Ratesetter blog' and it takes you to the page. Usually they send an email invite, so they can control entry to lenders (of merit...). This is open to all.... .... so I've registered. It'll be my fifth. Twice as a normal lender and three times as an employee! Kevin.

Is anyone going to this tonight?
I have an invite (yes I'm still an enthusiastic lender on the platform, just perhaps at lower levels than before for a myriad of reasons) and a green card for the night out. But feeling apathetic about it, and for some reason think the old forumites aren't that bothered either, having moved on to the more racier platforms.

Possibly the only six and a half foot tall white haired guy wearing glasses and a silly t shirt.

Had a good time at the lender drinks last night, and the RS people are lovely. But how can they expect me not to withdraw my repayments with the rates on offer recently? Incidentally, it seems they are seriously considering reintroducing a representative to engage with this forum instead of merely lurking as they do at present.

Incidentally, it seems they are seriously considering reintroducing a representative to engage with this forum instead of merely lurking as they do at present. I should have gone, the offices are lovely, the food decent and the free mug much appreciated. Unfortunately two years ago when the coverage ratio started diving and the rates going down I decided the risk/reward didn't stack up for me, so I have been on withdrawal mode ever since. All the changes since then have only reinforced that position (reduced coverage ratio, all the messing around with the way the money in the provision fund is calculated, the lack of clarity about how much in the provision fund is lent by ratesetter (plus the interest on this and the position in the event of platform default), the lack of full fca authorisation and of course the reducing rates). If you look at recent monthly volumes I am clearly not the only one. I had great hopes for ratesetter about four years ago, and I do think they try to do the right thing. But it's not for me any longer. I always just think if the coverage ratio is just over 100% in the benign economic environment of the last 5 years, what would happen if there was a recession. As I have always said of the provision fund, be careful, the statement 'nobody has lost a penny to date', should not be interpreted to mean 'you can't lose a lot'. Once it's gone you have no protection at all, although funds would be pooled so all investors should be treated equally.

Yes, I received the same impression too.
