Are there any forum rules for keeping messages, relevant to P2P at least if not the actual thread title. I believe there are such things as private messages for members who wish to go off on self indulgent tangents. Good question. Maybe you should start a new thread to ask it though, some might consider it off topic.

All the Wigan parts vanished from the listing at about midnight. Seems a preparation for the repayment.

They don't vanish, they automatically move to the completed loans tab when they hit the end date. Presumably the Things will reset the end date soon and they will reappear on the live loans tab.

“Tomorrow” is now Halloween. (End date changed to 31/10/2018) I would have extended it until next Friday as this is out of MY control. Relying on other people ends up making you look bad.

'Jam tomorrow' rarely means tomorrow, or even if there will be jam. I don't think there is an industry where if a company says something will be done tomorrow my initial position is not to believe it until I see it. I think every single company I have come across has reneged at some point about providing updates. I can't understand what is so difficult about saying something like 'we don't have the info, so it'll be later'.
I quite like Moneything but concerned that that they may be a few loans away from going the way of Lendy. Their communication of the defaults has been good, but I can see some of the shortfalls being quite large and they will be in the position of trying to chase guarantors. Although the loan itself looks quite reasonable we can see in the event of a borrower not wanting to play ball a dispute can rumble on for over a year.
It seems among the lender base we have already gone past the stage for not filling any old rubbish (which happens when the platform is in the honeymoon stage) and it seems we are at the stage where any loan in size will struggle to fill.

It seems at a pretty safe stage (famous last words) as far as p2p loans go. Happy for this to take as long as it needs. I'm in no rush to have to find somewhere else to put the money right now.

Happy for this to take as long as it needs. I'm in no rush to have to find somewhere else to put the money right now. I think this is because they had a series of bad experiences with some p2p platforms who announce the dates for completion (funds are with solicitors etc.), but the repayment never happens. I tend to believe that this one will be repaid, but I can see how not meeting repayment deadline makes people nervous.

They said it might take a while; everything goes slowly when solicitors are involved..... It's unusual to take 2 weeks to sign it off once everything's in place. A proper update is needed. I agree now we are at the end of October
