From the dodgy certificate authority that tried to give its users something nobody wanted... A security crippled rip-off of Google Chrome browser... bugs.chromium.org/p/project-zero/issues/detail?id=704&redir=1"Chromodo is described as "highest levels of speed, security and privacy", but actually disables all web security. Let me repeat that, they ***disable the same origin policy***.... ?!?.." And a year earlier they were promoting another insecure application that allowed attackers to intercept supposedly secure connections: www.kb.cert.org/vuls/id/366544These guys don't have a clue about web security. It's really bad news if they've got their hooks into the website.

These guys don't have a clue about web security. It's really bad news if they've got their hooks into the website. I have used their free Comodo Internet Security for over 10 years now and it has never let anything unwanted onto any of my computers. People have always tried to discredit them.

Consider yourself lucky It is their own actions that have led to them being widely lampooned in the security community, quite justifiably IMHO. One of the organisations that has "tried to discredit them" is the US Department of Homeland Security, so it isn't all competitor bias.

It was my intention to register with Collateral tonight but my internet security software blocks the site. I'm not keen to switch it of in order to register.

I'm using Kaspersky Internet Security 17.0.0.611 with the latest databases / Windows 10 / Chrome with Kaspersky Protection 5.0.141.4 enabled and have had no problems logging in either.

Thanks. It's a little weird because that's what I'm running and I don't seem to have any issues logging in. Perhaps collateral changed something... For reference, I'm using "Kaspersky Internet Security" 16.0.1.445(f) with latest databases. My browser is Chrome with the "Kaspersky Protection" 4.6.3.16 extension enabled. All running on windows 10. All exactly the same here. I'm not attempting to login, but to register. Kaspersky displays a malicious webpage and then a malicious link warning and blocks the page. The detailed report warns of a Trojan program. If I access the Login page, I receive no warnings.

Collateral Rep should let the webmaster know that they should do to the registration page whatever they have already done to the login page to fix that.

Just visited the Collateral site to check current situation and Registration page no longer triggers a warning. Will likely register later in the week.

Morning,
Yes we changed to GeoTrust after listening to investor concerns over the Comodo SSL certificate.
Many thanks,
Gordon

I attempted to Register yesterday (Saturday). Registration failed as it did again when I tried today.
Sent an email to support expecting it to be picked up on Monday but got a reply today and got myself registered this evening.
Happy to see an issue addressed so promptly.
