So now that you have FCA authorisation, what does that mean for the layman investor? How does it change my investment in moneything?

Perhaps an IFISA even if your not a taxpayer, so as to continue not being a taxpayer.

Congratulations. Hard earned and well deserved. Look at the list of platforms you've beaten to the prize You could also say : Just look at the platforms that beat MT MT just need some loans now. No good having an IFISA if you cant get invested.

Would hope that when MT do launch an IFISA, Ed can find a way of enabling investors to transfer current holdings into the IFISA.
I know strictly speaking direct transfer might not be possible, but could some sort of holding facility be set up prior to transfer of the loans, as I wouldn't like to rely on trying to sell and buy back on the SM...

Will be tricky, I've always read loan parts have to be bought on the open market to qualify. Either PM patience will be required or run the gauntlet of international lender snaffling in 'the middle of the night'. (Of course, for non-par markets standard inter huband-wife tax avoidance transfers will work just as well between standard-ISA accounts).

It is approaching that dreaded time of year when HMRC puts out its grasping hand for a share of my ill-gotten P2P gains. I know it is not quite financial year end, but wanted to do a first pass on my liability. A small point, SophieThing but when I printed out a tax statement, it still says: "Capital Mortgages Direct Limited is (interim) authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (No. 562505)" Surely you can now delete the (interim) bit?
