Love this thread. Just love it.
FS must have bollox of cast iron and the arrogance of Putin and Stalin combined, and only survive because this forum is so badly attended by luckless punters.
Only FS could scr*w up a pawn site.

There are two different loans, for two different boats yet both are receiving the same updates. This happens in other linked loans but in this case Funding Secure seem reluctant to confirm if the reality is one or two boats. Is anyone else suspicious that the second loan was actually another loan on the same boat?

It's not been in any promotional material whatsoever.

If this is yet another loan which has been misrepresented to gain investment I will go after getting my money back and getting this formally noticed. We don't know for sure but FS's unwillingness to confirm anything says it all.

I'm absolutely sick to death of this loan and posting about it in all honesty.
I've just spent some time reading the updates from the past two years and the whole thing just beggars belief.

I did ask FS about this and they said there were 2 boats. I wonder if one loan was supported by the boat that sank so in effect there are 2 boats but one of which is at the bottom of the Solent. As I said only one boat is referenced on the borrower's social media...

I have felt for some time that FS are detached from reality in terms of valuations and recovery prospects/methods. I fear that more will emerge, although this one is probably one of the worst examples.

I read a news report that said this boat sank but found another where she was towed back to port. Wonder if she was repaired with a new cockpit and became boat no 2? Would love to know why this team only refers to one such boat...

I have contacted fundingsecure and received the following response: "Thank you for your patience. I have looked into this and I can see that these loans are due to be updated later today. Unfortunately I do not have the specific information in the update but it will be visible for all investors to view on the loan page"Personally I am holding off ordering champagne just yet

As I said only one boat is referenced on the borrower's social media... Suspicion all round.... I was checking back on the updates to July last year and wondered about this interim backup. Did anyone realise that on the 27th July, there was an auction and the prize was a powerboat experience of the Isle of Wight for 2 people (pictures on the auction site relates to this boat). The reserve auction price was £2,500 and the auction ended on the 16th August, although as it happened, no bids reached the reserve price. It would have been interesting to see what the winning bidder (had there been one) would have been told about their IoW boat trip, considering that on the 10th July, FS updates indicated that the boat cannot be used for any purpose. Well I suppose this is what the interim backup related to then.

The boat trip may have been like the one offered to investors in the loan and decided by a prize draw, which I understood never actually happened.
I stand to be corrected, but the last I heard the winner never got their ride in a power boat.
