Hi ablrate It see that 12 April has come and gone which would suggest that I was right and you were wrong; and this will indeed be a long, drawn-out recovery. It seems as if the pesky missing paperwork preventing the broker from paying monies held on account have also failed to materialise. Given that it is now more than three months since your last update on this loan, one would seem rather overdue. Oh, and can I have the chocolate bar you owe me too? I am getting seriously unhappy with ablrate whose communication has declined markedly this year... Still no update since January 12, ablrate

Yes, just shy of four months since the last update on what we were reassured would not be a long, drawn out recovery. Anything to add ablrate ?

So, not counting returns to date, or the value of any PGs etc, my initial stab at the maths says a 77% haircut?

(Assuming no further payments on PGs)

Eugh...another significant write-off for me.
I thought this one was really quite safe given the huge gap between valuation and outstanding capital.
Between this and the brewery loan I've had some very poor judgement.

ablrate please can you tell me why I don't receive emails about loans that I hold, like this, and that I am 'subscribed' to via your website?

ablrate please can you tell me why I don't receive emails about loans that I hold, like this, and that I am 'subscribed' to via your website? I think that this was discussed before somewhere, and the outcome was that if you have both a Standard and an ISA account, you only receive email updates for one of them. Not sure what determines which one. At least this is the case for me. I receive emails for admin notes in my ISA Account, but don't for my Standard account. So, if there's an admin note for a loan that I hold in just my standard account I won't receive an email.

Perhaps if you did you would get the email updates 🤣 Sorry, I'm out of ideas. Probably best to contact ABLrate support directly. They don't often answer difficult questions on here nowadays.
