Idle cash shouldn't be an issue provided the ISA is Flexible.
I hope ISA Transfers will be possible at the start or very early on. Money is waiting in previous year's ISAs. The reason for moving ahead with the ISA now is to fund the growing pipeline of new loans.
Given existing lenders have been patient and supported the platform, if there is concern over demand, temporarily limiting ISA accounts to 'existing lenders only' might be worth doing, but could be lifted very quickly if things go well.

Afternoon,
Just a quick note to say that we have just been approved by HMRC with respect to being able to offer our own IFISA (this will be shown on their site within the next ten days).
We still have some more work to do before it is ready and I will probably be asking for some friendly guinea pigs who might be willing to go through some beta testing with us in due course.
Kind regards,
Ed

I wonder who will have theirs ready first, MT or ABLrate? LW I'm betting on ABL to win that race - followed by SS then COL and then probably dozens of P2P platforms that we haven't heard of yet MT approach to IFISAs is basically Marge Simpson in the following GIF Only joking MoneyThing - you know I love you guys Might you perhaps agree that we have moved up to Nelson?

I think you're probably up there with Lisa. I too volunteer to beta test, if you can stand the pain (I find more than my fair share of bugs - ask FC). Are there chocolate bars in it?? I might even bring some real money, if that'll help .. as long as I don't have remove any books to cram another router or PC in here. 8>.

Fill in a form, wait 14 days for decision (according to guidance) MoneyThing Also happy to help with beta testing - even have own imaginary pig, think he has invested the guinea in MT.

Admittedly, when we sent off the very simple form, we had assumed this was just a first step before they would come back to us requesting more information (like a business plan, technical aspects, etc.). As such, we were quite taken aback when we simply got our approval. Perhaps they just recognise the hoops we would have gone through for our FCA permissions. Anyway, certainly a pleasant surprise!

Shows that IFISA approval does not carry the badge of respectability and safety that some platforms would have us believe.
