The AE stocking loans will remain but grouped assets will end.
My favourite loans on the platform.

I'm feeling my way around MT and see there are lots of AE loans on SM - I've just counted 25 at 12%. Mindful that they're the same borrower, I wonder how good an egg they might be to have in my basket which has so far focussed on property-based listings. They're good loans but all the Grouped Assets Loans end on 31/07/2017 and won't be renewed. tbh mikeh, "good loans" is an arguable point!

The AE stocking loans will remain but grouped assets will end. My favourite loans on the platform. 80% of my loan holdings in MT coming to an end? A large 5 figure sum. Nothing similar on the horizon to replace them with. How many others are in the same position? Impact on the platform?

I sold about a third of my AE loans (before sm got clogged) but still have significant amounts left. Only sold to reduce cash drag, I would of kept them if they weren't ending. I sold out of Bolton once it looked like filling on COL, glad I did given the delays. I still have a fair bit in Prestbury which ends very soon. Pipeline and current availability good but nothing quite like AE.

Until recently I very much shared your concerns, with the AE loans coming to an end, losing Bolton and Prestbury repaying and few new loans. However I like to trust Ed who if I remember correctly stated that most of their recent efforts have focused on getting FCA permission. Now that's been achieved full efforts will be on new business and if the last two weeks is anything to go by I think my worries are hopefully short lived.

I'm talking specifically about grouped assets, which was one of the USPs that drew me to the platform over two years ago.

Disappointing. In my entire time here, I've held no property loans [aside from briefly some loose change to avoid dead money sitting around].
I've been around long enough to remember that it was MT's original USP - that it was NOT going to be just another property P2P platform.
That noble aim seems to have fallen by the wayside.

I too prefer these MT grouped asset loans over the now ubiquitous property & will use their repayment as an opportunity to fund an IFISA; Ideally this would be available on MT but should they not provide one within the next few months I will need to weight up the other platforms I currently use. Not sure I would want to risk putting my other pawn/cars GA loans onto the open market to rebuy into an IFISA, as apparently this approach satisfies the FCA requirements over non-direct transfer.

why is there a delay in repaying the Bolton student accommodatin loan? I see funding completed on collateral more than a week ago, yet still not repaying loan on MT?

If you like them, with a bit of searching you will be able to find the AE grouped assets available elsewhere at 12%. They are going private in a debt/equity swap, not changing platforms.

Legals have taken slightly longer than hoped. Bit more complicated because borrower is non-dom. Col needs to get it right as first big loan.

Raising on crowd for angels and private raise elsewhere to cover funding needs until equity deal done The amount being raised on crowd for angels will only cover a couple of the existing loans. I wonder if end July might end up being extended.
