Not exactly flying off the shelves at the moment. Looks like the 12pm start time hasn't sunk in for most lenders. Either that or they are all stuck on the M25

Either that or they are all stuck on the M25 I think MT lenders are more aware/astute than those on some platforms. I think many of us are waiting for the Bolton money back, but that might be too late.

According to my calculation the average take-up rate was about £1200 per minute over the first 2.5 hours. I'm the new boy here and wonder if that's what may have been generally expected.

Normally a lot quicker. Some people might still think it's at 4pm More likely they're short of funds as we've had rather larger loans recently.

We'll see in under an hour whether there's another spike at 1600.

There's maybe a lot of shiny stuff on the SM to divert the attention of new MT users who can currently get invested without concentrating funds all on a single new loan, including chunky bits from Tuesday's Liverpool loan. Others perhaps waiting for repayments and for all those SM sales to happen before re-investing.

Note also that it's a Bank Holiday weekend, the weather is glorious, and the FA Cup Final is about to start .

Well, I'm a Gooner, so it could be tipping it down right now and I'd have a big smile on my face .

Note also that it's a Bank Holiday weekend, the weather is glorious, and the FA Cup Final is about to start . There's also the cricket, the rugby and the fact that half of BA customers are stranded at various exotic locations. Still doesn't explain the slow take up.

Slow take up is explained exclusively by the rapid pace of new loans. I'm at my max P2P allocation and all SMs are basically saturated making it difficult to sell to diversify. So I'm not in for any new loans right now.

Yep. it's looking like a lenders' market right now, until/unless something (eg Bolton) repays, or one of the players launches an ISA which'd (at least in my case) spring some new money PDQ, without a rate war to drive it (assuming it was a nice sensible flexible ISA with reasonable/zero extra charges). Liquidity looks rather poor at both MT and L, although the L month end repayment chunk may help bit.

Note also that it's a Bank Holiday weekend, the weather is glorious, and the FA Cup Final is about to start . I'd agree with two out of three. However I can advise that the weather has been bad today where I am. I woke up to a torrential rain storm and the rest of the day has been very cloudy and cool. I have a personal weather station and the daytime high was 18 degrees here and there was no sunshine at all until about 6 p.m.
