Received mine, 3 days wait. Huddle was paying same day. The last few months have had similar delays. Your meant to get better not worse!

Huddle's strategy confuses me. First it pays out 20% (!) cashback incentive to 100 lenders investing up to £5000 (insanely generous, but I wasn't arguing) and lists a couple of quite decent asset-secured loans to stick this in. Since then, nothing but unsecured SME loans of the type I long ago vowed to avoid on FC, ReBS and Lending Crowd. I've still got £5000 invested in the original secured pub loan but have withdrawn £1750 of assorted cashback, interest and capital repayments, so my net stake is down to £3250 and my IRR is through the roof. I almost feel guilty for taking up the original Huddle 100 incentive, but then I was fully expecting to invest more in further secured loans.... Come on huddlecapital, how about launching some sensible secured lending opportunities, to justify all that money you paid us to sign up?

I'm fine with investing in amortised unsecured SME loans at high rates, but only very small amounts per loan. LC offers a decent loan flow and even Rebs are generating 2 or 3 loans per month - HC have been around for about a year now and produced only 11 (or12?) loans. I'm curious if HC is making much profit from such small loan book.

An opportune moment for ablrate to comment given their recent equity stake in Huddle Capital? www.p2pfinancenews.co.uk/2018/05/18/ablrate-equity-stake-huddle/

Now would also be the opportune moment, huddlecapital, to press the button on the pub's payment due yesterday

Coincidence? Most likely but, I love a mystery of my own making

So there you go then, all ye lovers of security. First charge on a residential property, you can't get simpler than that.
Anything not to like?

Only that I didn't really fancy this one when it was on Collateral, so I'm sticking with my decision again on principle

I think the valuation could be 10%ish too high based on the comparables I looked at...I'm in for my standard size though. Well done Huddle! More like this please

The concern with small loans like this, with a toppy MV and high LTV, is that, whilst risk of default may be average, the prospect of a loss is high if it does default (combination of depressed value in a forced sale and maybe £20k+ recovery costs to be deducted)

I have only joined Huddle recently but it seems that relatively small loans are struggling to fill is this normal? Also I thought Huddle had announced that they had a health pipeline of new loans but if the existing two cannot be funded then bring new loans on doesn't seem sensible ?
