What is the good news? Thincats are distributing more frequent loan updates!
Great, what is the bad news? The contents of the updates!

What really does me is the circumlocutious and obsequiousness tone of the missives speaking as a man who knows the difference between a spade, a spit and a shovel

At least we are now getting more comms. TC remains my biggest single exposure and I need some of those updates to start turning positive.

Worst P2P company I invest in by a mile. Divesting as quick as I can. Was with them since 2012 and cannot now think of a good thing to say about them.

I can think of far worse platforms, Thincats has a decent deal flow, a range of investment options, detailed loan documentation, open Q&A on the platform, and two investor forums.

I'm happy with TC for those reasons plus the more than satisfactory performance of my portfolio. It is my largest p2p exposure by far and I am still adding.

Their in house forums certainly have a lot of vituperation, to the level that the mods here would intervene. Some might find this offputting. (I just posted another thread here praising them). They are my biggest platform

Some posts on the TC forums I just skip over, not worth reading I know what they are going to say (again) boring and unhelpful.

They are my biggest platform Hi shimself , for those like me who are either slightly familiar with TC or have never been anywhere near please would you be willing to provide a personal list of pro's and con's as to how you see the place and why? Thanks for your help with this. Thanks to a small number of involved investors the Q&A is head and shoulders above any other site. Alongside this site I have been able to learn a lot. The info packs are complete (or if not get short shrift). A reasonable deal flow with a secondary market. The website is arcane, the opposite of instinctive. If you want to do a monthly reconciliation you are in for a job. Recovery is professionally done (now), but they tend not to be communicative I continue to be more invested there than elsewhere.

I have gone off Thincats over the last few years, letting the portfolio slowly decline. My one BIG success was D******M********! Became a share holder and they are now doing incredibly well, with sales / EBITDA doubling year on year and four bespoke outlets in swanky parts of town.

I also became a shareholder and am impressed with the results; however the shares are worth nothing until there are buyers!
