Several of the yachts in the Spanish marina where my boat lives have AIS fitted and I can see exactly where they are in the marina, or their course and speed if they are away. You need the name of the boat to see where it is at any time, but it can easily be turned off of course so will only shown where it was last seen.

' first time round.

nice little story released on youtube yesterday and in the italian media today of a large fishing boat that only goes to Libya and Sicily every day, obviously a people smuggler. The idiots forgot to turn their tracker off and a citizen journalist (looks about 20) just happened to have a look.

I tried entering AblyMacAbleface, but nothing was shown. Maybe not ready just yet.

Able One looks ok on Tyneside, but an image problem in Monte Carlo. I like the term 'pleasure craft'. Can just make out A and D on the top: I think they are fitting the tracker.

So is this classed as an offshore investment?

ablrateI just attempted to purchase a bit of this loan in the secondary market but keep on being greeted with "The value of Amount must be 0 or more." when trying to execute the buy. I've checked the trade summary which looks fine (and shows I entered a valid numerical value) and I had sufficient funds to cover the total cost. I've had no problems buying pieces of other loans so assume it must be an isolated issue with this particular loan that is preventing buying. Has anyone else experienced this error massage?

I've just bought a penny and had no problems. I had the best offer at the time you attempted your purchase so I've just cancelled it in case that was causing your issue (it was the offer at 100.5% for a penny after someone bought all but a penny of my original offer!). Let me know if you succeed, intriguing. Edit: oddities in the ablrate accounting system again - my investment in the loan didn't increase following the purchase. Probably not explained by it being amortising since no repayments have been made yet.

I suggest you try now, someone bought £50 after my purchase and cancelled sale. You'll get a slightly worse overall rate since the 100.5% offer has been purchased.

The yacht appears to be for sale, it can be found on www.worldyachtgroup.com by searching for the 6 character yacht name. Is this the kind of asset that's permanently for sale or is this a possible exit for the loan?
