well as we are both 'staff', its good to see we are broadly on the same page, even if to confirm that we also don't take any notice of what the other may have said :-) In my defence, I don't take much notice of the vast majority of forum posts these days. Too much white noise, showing off and pointless argument for my liking

What a load of expert opinion we have and all in the face of conflicting stories. I'm giving this speculation a miss and am going to wait for the considered conclusions of the investigation.

Last year the father of a friend of mine in Lubeck (on the Baltic coast) was turfed out of his appartment for 2 months while they stripped the insulation out of the block and refitted the stuff. So the Germans have had a problem.

So the Germans have had a problem. I bet it was an English contractor, and they lost out on penalties :-)

I have no view at all regarding Sir Martin Moore-Bick, but did the Beeb really need to front with a picture of him smiling? It's hardly appropriate. I doubt he wanted it. More importantly I doubt the victims wanted it. So for want of a... "Polaroid".... he's already off to a bad start .

A quick google shows the same photo is being used by most major media outlets. It's a crop of a larger photo from a recent official visit to the British High Commission in Brunei. It's quite probably one of the few stock headshots of him quickly available without rights issues. I really don't think you can read anything into his facial expression...

From the article: Well well well James, been busy again I see. I did ask James if he would be so kinda as to make a comment on this for the forum. Instead of just laughing at me and throwing £50 notes in my direction, asking me to "dance for me, pretty boy" like he usually does, he actually gave me a statement to pass on, so it seems he's a new man. He gave me this quote: I did ask James if at this point he would like to put some trousers on, but apparently I "forgot my place". He also gave me this "completely legitimate photo" (his words) and asked if I would be kind enough to share it "with the surfs of that computer message thingy as proof of my devotion to T and the cause, there's a good chap": Attachments:

It just goes to show how great inflation has been since I was a pupil at the school he taught at.
The annual fees then were only about £300 per annum. Mind you it was a long time ago.
