One likes to get positive vibes of professionalism from a company's website. I'm not too sure about -
We underwrite our deals with a view that the loan to value (LTV) is at a level which ensures that there is sufficient has enough equity in the structure security to cover the loan amount together with any accrued interest and fees plus interest plus any fees that relate to collection of the loan.
Nor -
Your investment is secured by a registered which is one very charge over UK property (like a short-term mortgage) It is this security that is the most important consideration when lending money.

Those sentences are also pretty mangled!! But they are pretty good at other things. There are almost no reviews out there of Bridgecrowd, so we thought it might be helpful to put one together. If anyone is considering Bridgecrowd hopefully it is useful. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions or comments. Find out what we thought of Bridgecrowd

I've recently started investing in BC and am really struggling with the website.
I'm using an iPad and can't see what my cash balances are or what loans I have invested in (apart from pending investments). Extremely frustrating.

It’s really not designed for use on mobile devices (it’s useless on my phone). There are various aspects of BC that are a little “different” from the mass-market platforms. In time I’ve come to regard them as quirky but manageable. The day BC becomes as slick and accessible as the rest, it will probably be time to move on.

I have been investing for 18 months. The website is fine on desktop and IPad but agree it does not work on my phone. More importantly for me the quality of the loan management is first classs, I have invested in almost every other platform and Bridgecrowd feedback on their loans is the best of all the platforms. The quantity of loans is increasing slowly over time.

When I log in I see "Available funds" which is cash not in a loan, and I also see "My investments" which I can click on to see a list of loans I am invested in and how much is invested.

I don't on an iPad. When I log in I see my account with messages (there are none). There is no way to see available funds. When I select my investments it only shows pre-invested loans (whatever they are). I know I am invested in 3 or 4 more loans. It's a bit annoying as I don't know if I need to add funds to my account. i have a question (I emailed them but they didn't answer it). I have autoinvest set up but which loans does it invest in? It seems some loans it does others aren't elidigble. I can't find any documentation about how this works. Any idea?

On the iPad you have to use panoramic mode to see your available funds.

The first two loans that I invested in on this platform are now both in default. This may be bad luck, or my stupidity, but I am hoping that the recovery team are good. I can see the advantages in having a £5000 minimum loan, but it makes it difficult to spread the risk for the smaller lender.

Perhaps a little unlucky but I wouldn't worry - been with them over 2yrs and in that time the recovery team have been VERY good. As for loan sizes... well they can't satisfy demand as it is, so why would they reduce it and create more work for themselves?

BC are one of the best platforms around for recoveries IMO.
I've had/got plenty of loans in default but so far all have been recovered in full and I've never seen anything to overly concern me so far. They have great comms and don't take any messing around from borrowers.
