Deutsche bank perpetual bonds added @7.125% The bank has had its problems the last few years (google - Deutsche Bank troubles for reviews) and perpetual bonds come with their own risk

This is additional tier-1 capital and can be written down if the bank gets into trouble. Moreover, the coupon is discretionary, non-cumulative and subordinate to other unsecured capital (if I remember rightly), so it's quite vulnerable. I suppose the basic question is: is the bank going to get back on its feet or go down the tubes (too big to fail?).

The Virgin bond has gone already. I think that's the fastest I have seen a bond move. Only about 100k out of the 200k went up so maybe more will appear over the next day or two.

Some decent looking offerings in the pipeline: Burger King/ Netflix But assume the exchange rate would have to be taken into account for good or bad? Depends, Eurobonds are also issued in London. (These are bonds issued outside the company's home country/currency, not necessarily 'European' or 'Euro' bonds, the name originating from bonds issued by European companies tapping London's markets). Q - when the Register Interest banner is used for bonds fully funded on the Market, is there a notification sent when these become available? Similarly, if you have buy orders but not enough balance when a bond becomes available, is that notified? Thanks! Edit - the derivative notes are passed to us at WA’s initial cost so wouldn’t be surprised if they list any foreign currency bonds at a fixed GBP equivalent and remove currency volatility as they do for market price (although there would still be forward coupon and redemption payments).

I have registered interest in a number of bonds, but have yet to receive any notifications. However, it's quite possible that there has simply been no availability...

Thanks for the Euro bond details see what you mean and the way there issued. I assumed these were issued in Europe as going back 12/18 months when WA did an equity raise the moving into Europe was meant to be the next step and the exchange question came up and pretty sure the answer was the bonds would be in Euro's but not sure if it was an email or answer on here(or more likely i'v got it wrong!)

Just to confuse matters Netflix do have a Eurobond in Euros, 1.3bn, senior, 3.65% . If they bring bonds over from Europe as suggested these are likely to be Eur so will be interesting to see how they they handle future payments, until now the platform has been very simple. I don’t mind a bit of ccy hedge although might reasonably expect some £ recovery if withdrawal agreement is agreed within the year (I certainly hope so as it’s cost me an extra grand a year post-Brexit to top up my annual visa requirements where I’m staying!).

Hi Elliot, The Netflix bond we will be putting on is the new 4.625% coupon. Euro bond payments are very simple - you can only deposit via bank transfer and preferably you already have the currency in Euros using a Euro bank account to avoid exchange rate transfer risk. Obviously you could use Revolut to do the FX from gbp and then send Euros over to us until we have implemented our FX conversion on the site. All payments for eurobonds will be in EUR.

Today I received several notifications re availability of bonds in which I had registered my interest. Picked up 10K of the Wise Alpha 8% bond... [and got the required funds out of Marcus within three minutes].
