Hello forum Some of you have been following the recent court filings by Mintos lender Eurocent. They have filed for a debt restructuring and share trading halt. We've been talking to Mintos about this. We've done a write-up of the latest situation, some observations about the disclosures made by Eurocent, and possible lessons to be learned. Unfortunately, I can't find the reason why Mintos has to feel itself (contractually) obbligated to substitute Eurocent in the buyback if it can collect the excess interests from Eurocent borrowers. And, without any (for me) unknown agreement between Mintos and Eurocent, how can do this without bypass all the other creditors of Eurocent, if Eurocent is in liquidation? I have not clear this passage (probably for my leaks in knowledge of those normatives). But, it's the first case, this can write experience for eventuals others simil situations, so, Mintos, do the right choice!  |

Hello Forum There's been a lot happening with the Eurocent (potential insolvency) situation and we have been in long discussions with Mintos on what is going to happen next and some specifics around the legal situation. While Eurocent is not a huge lender on the platform we think that it is important as many of the arrangements with other payday style lenders are structured in the same way. I don't have any Eurocent loans but I do keep an eye on the overall statistics page. All I seem to see is the money steadily moving to the right with not much overall reduction in the outstanding loans.
