collateral clearly has it's fans, and it uses this forum to it's advantage, i do not therefor think it is unfair to ask collateral for a simple answer to a simple question... On this forum. The issue of a platforms avoiding discussing something in legals is widespread and correct from a legal counsel point of view to prevent prejudice. I am not going to post in a public place, for none investors to see, anything said to me in confidence. I reiterate, please contact the office tomorrow and ask your question martin44 My bold... Did you not see my previous response?... I would not be here, airing my concerns if i had received an appropriate response from col. My question to collateral does not pose any legal prejudice, they may well not wish to answer any questions here, but that does not prevent the questions being asked.

It is after all the weekend and perhaps they are taking some time off ... plotting world domination with Dave, Ed, Liam & Tim etc I always did have my suspicions that the castle was just a front for a super-villains' weekend-retreat cum war-room Actually I believe it was actually supposed to be a massive party to celebrate George from Lendy's brithday but unfortunately the purpose got a bit mangled in the communication. Anyway coming soon a massive multi-platform loan to finance a moonbase ... trust me default wont be an issue

(my bold) I have .. no response as yet.. (colored red above) where can i find this implication. Apologies if it is in the original e-mail to lenders, i am not in any car loans. Here p2pindependentforum.com/post/200673/thread quoted for your convenience. Bold might explain why you havent recieved a response Afternoon, We have been in direct contact with all investors in the loans. Unfortunately we are unable to discuss this on a public forum but will regularly update all investors who have parts in these loans. As the email said, if any investor with loan parts has any questions, please contact us at info@collateraluk.com. Thanks for your understanding in this matter, Gordon They also said they " will regularly update all investors who have parts in these loans"... given the concerns and questions raised in these threads over the weekend - that let's face it, we all have and share - I'm pretty disappointed that COL haven't collated these points and provided investors with an interim email update over the course of this weekend. I mean, why do we all need to email COL individually asking the same questions i.e. on exactly how many cars is "some" that they've already recovered? (which, incidentally, we only found out that "some" cars have been recovered, from COL's private email reply to an individual investor who then posted here - as far as all other investors as concerned, the "latest" info we've had from COL was on Friday stating " We have requested that the vehicles contained in each of the schedules be delivered up to us" - which is somewhat now out of date, it would seem, as they've since "taken possession of some vehicles") Why can't COL send out a mailshot to us all with an update addressing as many questions/concerns that they can at this stage? Whilst I appreciate that they're not meeting with their legal people until "next week", and there will be plenty of unknowns still - telling us how many cars they've already taken possession of is information that COL have NOW, and so surely can inform investors via email also? ...what are they waiting for? Evening martin44 , We don't seem to have received any questions from yourself via email. Could you email info@collateraluk.com and we will get back to you. Many thanks, Gordon Gordon, could you not update ALL investors please?

So, first default and some expect the staff of a platform to work the weekend to keep up with comms. Really! How many other plarforms updated by the minute, hour, day over the weekend or not? Ah, thats right, none. Be realistic peeps.

So, first default and some expect the staff of a platform to work the weekend to keep up with comms. Really! How many other plarforms updated by the minute, hour, day over the weekend or not? Ah, thats right, none. Be realistic peeps. However, they're updating individual investors over the weekend. If they can do that, surely they can update all affected investors? (which would actually save COL a lot of time - i.e. they can send one email to everyone, rather than having to reply to individual emails) Also, do bear in mind the specific nature of these loans; they were for movable assets, that as of Friday were not in COL's possession. Emailing users last thing on a Friday to inform us of this, and then radio silence over the weekend is not good from investors perspective. Had this been a fixed asset - i.e. a house, or assets in their possession (i.e. jewelry locked in COL's vault, etc) - something that would still be there come Monday, it would have been a totally different story! But given that these were cars, which weren't in COL's possession as of Friday, surely it would reassure investors to know that COL were being pro-active over this weekend, and not sat around twiddling their thumbs waiting for Monday whilst these cars potentially vanish in the meantime without a trace!?

Based on COL's email update, I guess as things stand at the moment, we're only going to be looking at 26-30% recovery

surely the outcome will depend on Col establishing ownership of specific vehicles. If any of these have been sold, and/or the list of assets has not been updated then I do forsee a problem. However if I have judged Col correctly I suspect that recovery will be a very high percentage or full.

Correct me if I'm wrong, I always thought if you unwittingly bought a car that had outstanding finance on it, then the debt transfers across to you, hence the reason yo take out an HPI check on a vehicle before buying?
