its probably me(pretty sure it is )but in the terms of joining offer point 2. says-welcome bonus following their first investments in notes........on the total size of the first investment. in point 1. it says-..........and deposit funds during the offer period. I am assuming the bonus depends on the size of the first payment based on point 2 and some of the other information in the terms. Or have i misunderstood and you can you top up with the new bonds till 31st of July to get to another level?

Hi Macq - we are applying the calcs based on the total first timers invest by 31st July. I can see how that is a bit ambiguous. So keep topping up!

keep adding bonds then But just to double clarify - its all new member investments from 8th of May till 31st of July and could be for example £1000 to open and then add in another payment to get to £5000 or £10000 etc not just stick on £1000 level

Hi Macq - yes that's correct. Also worth pointing out that if you refer to a new user you get the referral fee and the new user is still eligible for the bonus.

keep adding bonds then We just added Waga's and we should have a few more before the deadline, maybe more depending on how fast people buy in. Hopefully we start to get some more folks deciding to upgrade from small business and consumer P2P following recent news!

To be honest while the companies are good and this is a different product think people also look at the rates but guessing there are no 10% - 12% bonds out there?

In the High yield section (unsecured and second ranking debt) there are a few bonds that issued at 10-11% and so you do occasionally get them. I guess we would compare ourselves in terms of rates to the mainstream P2P lenders since they are in larger niches like our market which should become mainstream for retail overtime.
While you can never categorically rank different lending niches by risk because everybody does it differently and there are a number of things to consider my own personal view is that even the high yield issues we have on our site are probably less risky than mainstream P2P loans, although price movement risk is a factor to consider until final maturity. Perhaps some specific niches may have less risk but it's case by case as there are so many lending platforms now with different structures or niches within niches.

Most of the investments appear to be for 5 years or more, the VM bond is for 12 years, that is certainly different to most other loans discussed on this forum.

Hopefully, we start to get some more folks deciding to upgrade from small business and consumer P2P following recent news! Damn, I just looked and they are down from £17M available in the rolling market to £4.5M. I knew a lot of people would cash out but that's a hell of a lot of money looking for a new home.

you get the referral fee and the new user is still eligible for the bonus. I wish I had known that when I signed up, I would have used a referral :-)

If you were planning on sending out a last minute marketing email to everyone, it might be worth highlighting that the reward is for the total amount you have put in and not just for the first investment. I didn't understand that but thanks to this thread and the explanation have upped my total investment. I only put £100 in as an initial test and assumed I just wouldn't qualify regardless of how much I put in after.

Hi Kazamax,
Yes, that's a good point we should have made that a bit clearer. We'll mention that in the last marketing email.
Kind regards,
