It seems thar the best yesterday was a nibble at a little of the 4.3% offers ( unless anyone knows different) after the high 4s of the day before. My 4.1 went just after 3pm, and it looks as if it will be a similar situation again today.
So I have to decide whether to reduce the 4.8% target for my last uninvested funds on the market, or hold out for another day or two - I know that financially 3 days will cost me almost 0.5%, but then if I was trying to maximise returns on short-term funds I'd probably have more in AC's QAA on a 4.25% offer, but that's no fun! Any other suggestions?

Remember a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.

The problem I have with all this excitement is 'how long for' (did you get it). Worst case is, IME, about 24 hours (borrower exercises his cancellation rights), and even at the full 1-month (rolling) you then have the 'gee what do I do now' once RS have equilibrated (aka massaged) the MR, by whatever means (cashback being a favourite). This. With all of the faffing and days spent awaiting matches with capital not earning interest in the meantime, I'm not sure I understand the fuss either. If/when the 5 year rate ever rises significantly, then I might be interested again. But then why would RS allow that to happen when they can generally lend at about 2.8% with occasional blips up to 4% where required, and then pass on the risk of going in for rather longer than expected to "short term" lenders?

Matched a bit in the 3.9 queue today I relented and moved to 3.8 just before 12:30, it was going to be super close as to whether I got my 3.9 matched TBH I would have been happy with 3.7 that the market rate was this morning

Just made it into the 4% at the big lunchtime roll Got mine at 3.9% today, prefer to play it safer rather than hold out for 0.1% more, especially on a friday!

So as of this morning £9m to match and only about £6m available be interesting to see how this one plays out.
5 year hasnt finished processing yet though so could be some fairly large amounts to move from that to rolling

The maximum RS will push rates to on the 12:30 run (if it happens) will be 3.5%.

Dont know why you would say that, they were regularly matching higher than that last week
Interestingly they already seem to me matching today, market is at 3.5% and about half the matched and unmatched funds are gone

They did the run early, never seen that before. Bang on 3.5%.
