The development of national legislation for p2p lending

Last week I wrote an e-mail to the Ministry of Finance asking when can we expect it, this is the response I got (in Latvian, a quote below for those who understand):
So in short - the ministry is planning on submitting it to State Secretary meeting at the end of August or at the beginning of the September. When this is done, the draft law will be published (I'll share it when its available) and the Ministry of Finance will be waiting on comments from other ministries for 20 days. The process afterwards is depending a lot if they have a lot of objections and problems. After all the involved institutions agree, its submitted for approval by the Ministers and after that its forwarded to the National Parliament. If everything goes smoothly, the fastest entry into force would probably be Q1 of 2018, but my personal guess it could easily drag in to the autumn ir even end of 2018 when it will be finally approved.
