Welcome everflow it is nice to see some interaction from a borrower on this forum. If you would like to keep us updated on your progress I'm sure it will help to inspire confidence in this loan.

Looks like a subtle attempt at `tapping up' lenders which also is probably against the rules . Suspect a mod will be along shortly to tell him to pipe down or they`ll disconnect him.

The post from borrower79 is very welcome, but the rules of the forum need to be applied uniformly, or it will all become very confusing for new members. "Who was that masked man?".

Thanks prt120, Everflow is only as strong as its relationships with customers, partners and investors alike, so we will be more than happy to keep you up to date with progress. cooling_dude, I'm unaware what rule I'm (potentially?) in breach of, I'm not intending to break any, so if you can point me in the right direction it would be appreciated. Thanks dan1 KR, Josh P.S please dont PM me in that case, as I dont want us to look like we're trying to tap up lenders - not at all my intention!

Welcome Josh.
Is that allowed?
Just wanted to say I have no doubt that Josh is who he says he is, but there is nothing to prevent anyone registering any username that hasn't already been taken. If there comes a time when we need to rely on information he provides it might be a good idea for Abl to confirm his identity to us privately?

KR, Josh Apologies - a forum joke (we're not allowed to ID borrowers!); not a dig at your post which is very welcome! In fact, on the basis of you taking the effort to post, you may get some of my hard earned pennies

Rule 4. We are not allowed to identify borrowers on this public forum. It protects borrowers and the forum. To connect your post to a borrower name, it should be necessary to log into the Ablrate site. But posts from borrowers are very good for the forum.

There is a forum rule prohibitting the identification of a borrower or posting anything that allows this to be achieved, It doesnt apply as you are the borrower but as its sometimes a bone of contention on how it is exactly applied everyone is taking the opportunity for a bit of fun. We also have periodic bouts of postings involving puns and a water company offers lots of opportunity to increase the flow of those. One serious point is that you do need to get yourselves designated as a representative of a borrower so people know when you post that you have a vested interest. No doubt admin will be a long shortly to sort that for you. dan1 nudge, ps doesnt explorep2p need doing?

Ah ok! That makes sense.
I've got no issue with the guys at ablrate confirming my identity if required.
What we'll probably do to keep people informed without publishing the info publicly, is issue a brief update paper at the end of each month/beginning of the next whilst the loan is live which we'll give to ablrate to circulate to all investors - that's probably the best way.
Anyway, I'm off for now as I have an incredibly busy business to run!
Speak later.
KR, Josh

Welcome the forums everflow . The rules do prohibit borrower identification. That having been said the concerns are centred on a) breaches of confidentiality (many platforms disapprove of public borrower identification eg it might be a breach of platform Ts&Cs), b) commercial sensitivity, and c) what impact public discussion of identified borrowers and their loans might have on recovery prospects should a loan default. Tied in with point c) is concern around defamation risks born by forumites, the forum, and perhaps forum staff. I acknowledge that this rule is frustrating to many. We just haven't found a way to remove it without accruing risk that we are not comfortable with. I may be at risk of making policy on the fly here but I don't think self-identification is an issue. Indeed, I think everybody would benefit from more borrower engagement. If we see more borrowers use the P2PIF we might need to look at introducing a new "flare". For now I suspect putting a signature in place that says something like "I'm a borrower on the following platforms...." would be sufficient.

A follow up thought, I suspect the speed with which the loan filled had a lot to do with firstly you being a new borrower (diversification), secondly rate and risk, and thirdly that ablrate's IFISA has just gone live......

I saw it jump up by about 200K in minutes so a suspect a VeryBH might have invested
