The 'New Platform' thread deals with many different items so this is to pull out platform/webiste requests. - SM trial wothout sales fees is a biggie up and running today (until 7 Sep for review). - Another recent request was for a tab showing repaid/completed loans after the first loan has successfully now completed (hopefully the dreaded Defaults' tab won't be needed for some time ). Ok, my little request - your amount invested to be included with loan details for loans available on SM to avoid having multiple pages open.

We're reviewing the proposed changes and should add some, if not all, in the next week. Looking forward to more suggestions. Regards, Filip

Thanks, Filip I think the website is very strong so I'd be surprised at anything more than adding a tweak list to any updates, here's one that would help change the snapshot of our portfoilio as the loan list expands: - My Investments (primarily for Active) sortable by column headings

That is a good idea. I will speak with the tech team and see what they come back with. EDIT: I have spoken with the tech team that said that there should not be any issues to introduce a sort function to the My Investments table(s). It will be implemented shortly, subject to the other outstanding modifications (including as discussed above) being put in place.

Hi elliottm. As promised, I am pleased to confirm that the following functions/modifications have been added to the platform:
* Sort function available on all tables on the "My Investments" page * "Repaid" tab added to the loans marketplace * Invested amount into a loan (if any) shown when viewing a secondary market listing
Please let me know if these changes are as expected and do let us know if there is anything else that we should consider.
Regards, Filip

Many thanks Filip, these changes are excellent, I'll have to re-check on the next SM listing as my invested amount had escaped me so I may have been juggling between tabs unecessarily! For the SM email notification, would it be possible to indicate the loan and amount available so we know at first sight if it is one we would like to invest in? & thanks again for the super-quick updates already!

Hi elliottm. Many thanks for the feedback! Very good suggestion and makes perfect sense - we will add it which loan the loan part relates to and the amount in the emails. Should be implemented shortly. Please let me know if you have any other suggestions. Regards, Filip

@filipkaradaghi Any thoughts on whether the removal of sales fees on the SM is likely to be made permanent after the trial finishes on Thurs?
Looking at the volumes traded seems to have been a success though the poor administrator seems to have been a bit overwhelmed authorising transactions. I cant see any real need for this as the system wont allow you to buy your own loan parts. Any thoughts on getting rid of this step as suggested previously?

Hi ilmoro. Yes, the fee waiver has without any doubt increased liquidity on the secondary market. We will shortly announce if the fee waiver will be permanent.
We're considering a fully automated secondary market and have been discussing it internally quite substantially. However, we're still not fully comfortable with a fully automated solution as it may be difficult to make any changes if something goes wrong - we need to ensure that lenders are protected from any undue complications. We will therefore continue manually approve each transaction until we're fully confident that a fully automated solution will not cause any unforeseen or unexpected issues. Hopefully, we'll be in the position to fully automate the secondary market in a few months’ time.
Regards, Filip

The free fee system has allowed me to invest 2 years worth of ISAs into LandlordInvest. For many months I was trying to decide who to 'use' for my ISAs....... This system gave me the final 'push' to use LandlordInvest.

Hi LLI, thank you for the loan details in the SM emails, extremely useful - would it be possible to include in settings those emails we would like to receive on an ongoing basis?
When I use the website I'm typically juggling between 3 pages - SM, My Investments (to see amount invested in a listed loan) and Overview (to keep track of Available Cash as transactions are approved).
I still can't see the amount I have invested in a loan on SM (which I think was confirmed as implemented - apologies if I'm having a moment!) and would it be possible to permanently display the Available Cash in the top banner on each page?
As always, many thanks!

Hi all,
As you all know, today is the last day for the no-fee secondary market trial.
It has been an interesting experience and it has without any doubts increased activity on the market.
However, we have also received quite a few complaints about the emails that go out each time a new loan listing becomes available – the frequency of these emails has prompted around 40% of those that had email notifications enabled to switch them off during the trial period given the volume of emails that they have received.
Further, as we are still not prepared to fully-automate the secondary market, and will require an admin to review and approve each transaction, we will continue incurring administrative costs.
As such, we are likely to make an announcement tomorrow that the Sale fee will remain but will be reduced to 0.25%, or a 50% reduction.
We are also likely to announce that we will extend processing times into Saturday, allowing lenders to buy and sell loan parts on the weekend for those lenders that have limited time available during the week.
I am aware that this may be disappointing for some lenders, but we need to ensure that the secondary market is of benefit to all lenders and fulfils its main objective which is giving lenders the possibility to exit their investments before maturity.
Regards, Filip

A little disappointing news on the fee front, but can understand the additional administrative costs arising from manual processing of the increase in trading.
Some odd trading patterns may not help where the same person appears to buy parts in a loan and shortly afterwards sell other parts in the same loan. Cannot see an obvious reason for this, but certainly increases the work for whoever is processing sales.

JJ seemed to pop up, perhaps transferring between a standard and ISA account via the open market (or they're drunk a lot and have to repair the damage with a hangover! ). Edit - @filipkaradaghi thank you for the fair and timely update.
