Just wondering if anyone has actually managed to get totally out of RS, they gave us all the option in July and I get weekly updates saying it'll happen but will it? Was meant to take 30 working days so in theory I should be gone in two weeks time but I'm loosing faith.

Having investigated further I decided not to pursue the sell out as it was complete closure. So I'm just reducing my exposure on a gradual basis and still therefore retaining the 5.8% 5 year on a declining size basis.

I made the request via email on 2 Aug and got an automatic reply saying they'd be in touch. I'd heard nothing more until yesterday, when they sent out a mass email that said:
I wasn't expecting it to be instant so I don't mind waiting a bit, but the phrase "subject to market liquidity" has me worried.

Was meant to take 30 working days so in theory I should be gone in two weeks time but I'm loosing faith. I received an email yesterday informing me that my account would be closed tomorrow. So, yes, the sell out has begun. Edit: sell-out requested on 18 Jul @ 22:42

Yes clay, my concern too, depends on enough new money. However I should only be a day behind dan1 😃

Yes clay , my concern too, depends on enough new money. However I should only be a day behind dan1 😃 Actually it doesn't depend on new money. Alongside natural repayments and this (which includes £30m of loans repaid), liquidity shouldn't be a problem at all; www.londonstockexchange.com/exchange/news/market-news/market-news-detail/NSF/13317753.htmlAlthough RateSetter do look to have delayed the sell-outs to the maximum 30 days. But as these are account closures, it makes business sense. Kevin.

I have just received my sell-out confirmation, apparently I should see the funds in my bank account within 3 to 5 working days, but in fact the funds are already in my account.

I've had about 10% of my RS account repay early in the last 3 - 4 days. Is this the sell out in operation, or just coincidence?

It almost certainly isn't coincidence - but I don't think it is a consequence of any request to sell out. I had over 15% of my 5yr portfolio repaid in the last 3 days, yet I chose to stay with RS and drawdown naturally. Interestingly, the contract date on most of these repayments was the same (30/03/17). My guess is that this is RS paying off some/all of the bad loans that they have taken a hit on.

I had my full funds in my bank account yesterday so all as promised. I have actually now opened a new account with RS and popped a few hundred in to keep my toe in the water....
