Why are people moaning? There are £215k of other loans available. Perhaps 'people' are already invested in them? And are looking for diversification on the same platform?......

I am sure Collateral are highly delighted that this loan filled so quickly. Doubtless they will also be (pleasantly) surprised, as will be those of who have been investing with them for some time, who know this has not always been the norm. So give them a break as they will take the experience on-board. I missed out too as I thought it wouldn't fill that quickly - so I also have something to take on-board

The large loans, and even some of the smaller ones, have been filling very slowly, people bewailing the shift to property loans and so Collateral thought it might take a while to fill. I guess they may not have been fully aware of the lack of new loans elsewhere either. I was lucky to have the time for a quick perusal, a greased lightning deposit, and got in before it was even half full. But it did have the feeling of pre pre-fund Lendy days. What else are people expecting, Collateral have already said they'll put limits on next time (good thing in my book), and maybe they'll also use that pipeline tab again, although there's no interest on loan parts funded on that 'till it gets onto the live page to remind people. So all told I can understand the disappointment but agree with madpierre give them a break, there'll always be another loan. Tomorrow even .

Evening, Points taken on board, but to be honest a lot of our decision making is influenced by this board. Since we've started with property we've had feedback suggesting property isn't a preferred asset on Collateral, which is why we haven't put bid limits on any of our recent property loans. We do have a development loan for tomorrow and maybe a grouped asset loan, which we will add bid limits to both. Again your comments are taken on board and we will add bid limits to loans of this level in the future. Many thanks, Gordon Grouped asset, as in jewelery? :-)

Freehold sold for 250k a year ago although this is for a new long term lease - what basis is zoopla estimating? not sure on the zoopla bit. where did you get the freehold pricing? Land registry.

For the record normally I would have missed this loan anyhow as its past my bed time. To those that are truly extremely disappointed, I will sell you £25.00 each of part of my loan. I only have a very small amount so not much to go around. PM your details etc. I can list anytime very very early in the morning (before 4 am GMT). To verify DD has been done please send me pictures of the house from May 2009, October 2014 and from the present valuation. Just use GXXXGLX SXXXXT VXXX.

It's reassuring to see a platform listening to the views of investors. With such limited loan availability just now it makes sense to take a fair & equitable approach to bidding.

Nope not sold one part to those that were very upset....Offer still open.
I put up a few 5 pence parts and those were gone very quickly..... But not sure any DD was done so I stopped. (plus I found it more boring then I realised.)

Oh we must have bid limits; we need to be equitable to those who may have missed out.... I so sad no-one has PM me asking for more.... Infact there is over 2k of BL000049 available right now... Maybe I will snap it up and reserve it for those that may miss it...That way more to go around.

Thanks for your generous offer bababill! I've now managed to obtain my share from the SM. The point I was trying to make was concerning the short notice given by Col but let's not go there again...
