I wonder how many pennies it will be.
Do you get a prize if it goes over a quid ?
Blimey, £20.33. I feel rich, or something...
Feels odd that I feel a bit celebratory when in fact it represents a crystalisation of losses.
Oh well.
Overall I made 6.8% and a bit over 4.5k profit, so can't grumble.

I made a 6.8% annualised return. I had no more than 20k invested at my peak. Total profit £4594. Just pennies dribbling in now and pretty much nothing left in it. So overall, pretty happy bunny.
I was in it from 2012 though. I think it is clear that those who were in from very early on faired much better overall than those who only came in much much later.
Things were good for a long time from the start, but like a lot of platforms tailed off significantly in the latter years.

3 x £25 for me this month (Feb).
Means I've averaged 1.6% for this year so far. 1.64% average for the previous 16 years (updated in December).
Happy bunny, although I am the tortoise, not the hare when it comes to growing wealth. :-)
Pleased to see your 1.6% return, which is obviously higher than Premium Bonds' average. The one thing I'd say is unfortunately you're not growing your wealth but losing it in real terms when it comes to Premium Bonds, as 1.6% is considerably lower than inflation. As a reminder for us all, CPIH is currently 4.8% and rising. Yes I know, but you have to look at PB in the context of my entire portfolio. It's not pin money, but..... :-)
And regardless, people who are FIRE'd (financially independent and retired early) need to keep a few years worth in effectively cash... just in case the worst happens and you lose all your investments. I'd hate to have to start working again. I'm haivng too much fun.

2 x £25 for me this month off 50k.
Keeping up the average of around 50 a month - the year is off to a good start.

2 x £25 for me this month on the full 50k. £675 for this year (2021).
This makes my overall average return - 1.54% on 16 years of the full amount and is a return of 1.35% for this year (2021).
I'm happy with that.

Just an update on my previous post - as I am nearly all out (balance currently only £170 left in 3 loans)....
I've been with LI since July 2015. At my peak I was invested in 82 loans.
I am currently down to just 3 loans left of which :-
1 is in arrears but had already paid back nearly 50% and the property is likely to go to auction for the rest - at 65% LTV I suspect a full repayment will be likely plus at least some of the interest if not all.
1 is out of term but is likely to pay imminently. 1 is in enforcement - but repayments have already covered my capital outlay and a small amount on top - so at the very least it has broken even.
I am well pleased with how LI have and continue to perform. It's looking like no capital losses and all bar a teeny weeny amount of interest fully paid.
As I said earlier - I am running my investment down for personal circumstances not as a reflection of what I think of LI.
LI has been one of my most reliable platforms - especially on property loans.
I may be back at some point.

I'd rather forgo the pittance and have the boats deliberately smashed up - with the owners forced to watch.
