Many people are mentioning that it is not realistic to receive 12% with no risk. I agree with this but it is also realistic that if I am taking a risk I expect to receive that 12%. I am not referring to the IA loans, but to the insane situation when one stops receiving interest if the loan part is on the SM. I as a lender will still bear the weight of the risk with no interest. I do not see this as realistic. If Lendy Support wants to keep the interest I feel that they should take the risk as well.

ablrateandy, can you please confirm that the generators used as security for 1000093 are different from the ones used as security for 1000071.

There's a current valuation for the aircraft giving a total of £1,142,538 - giving ltv of 74.4% and this is meant to decrease to 70.1% when an engine is replaced in February stevel : can you see any reason for the difference in the values, i.e. the one quoted as the amount the planes were bought for and the value that you quote?

I am finding it hard to value the security. The only real figures I can see is the value at which the planes were bought, just over £750k. Their value now will be less. This for a loan of £850k. I know that the description mentions pledges, debentures and personal guarantee, but is there a way to put a value to all of this?

I am not sure if I am missing something but the info says that the primary security has a value of £320,000 for a loan of £300,000. I calculate that this results in a LTV of 93.75%. There is no mention of any other values that I can see apart from the personal guarantee. From past experience I learnt not to give much weight to personal guarantees. I also noted that this loan has an interest rate of 13%, i.e. less than the 14% of the previous loan.
Any comments please?

Update 3h ago - 1960999217 - Land in R*****n The new refnancing package of the other property is moving forward and should yield funds to further pay the loan down sufficient to renew it. We think this will happen within the next 2 weeks. Given the history of broken promises, I will believe it when I see it.

The issue with Ablrate 'bid' size is that bids need to be backed up with hard (already deposited) cash .. there's no 'X day settlement period', and while you have a bid in you are losing potential interest .. so no, there's not likely to be many £500k "offers to buy" in the queue, even at 99%. That doesn't mean that if you offer to sell £500k at 98%, there won't be a sudden rush of buyers appear waving direct debits at you. The reverse situation applies on Ly .. if you put £500k up 'for sale' (only available at par) you are (for no discernible reason) forgoing the interest on same, so people don't. Doesn't mean you couldn't buy £500k if you happen to have the money .. buy what's there, and watch the rest magically appear. Did Ablrate change their market? It used to be that you keep earning interest while loan parts are on sale. (If I remember correctly)

I hope that the next transactions will not be abroad. The previous Swiss one related to cheese I believe, and it was full of wholes.

Slightly off topic and not in the least directed specifically at Lendy, but I am absolutely convinced that all this KYC stuff, that is required by the regulators, has contributed enormously to the incidence of identity theft. The vast amount of verified personal information that has to be supplied to any and all financial service providers that one conducts business with cannot possibly be held totally secure in all cases. I believe that they destroy it after confirming you are who you say you are. That said, I agree that posting /emailing copies of passports is a disaster waiting to happen. What about the home office asking you to post the original then?

I think that it is time that there is a tribunal where P2P platforms can be held to account for what they say and do.
