No way, at any interest rate. What about 100% pa, 12 months interest up front? Doesn't that guarantee you 50% loss? Remember you will be the one paying the interest on the capital.

But you haven't seen the valuation report yet and we know the borrower is in receivership. And as you only buy into loans you are confident to hold to term after your exhaustive DD checks have been passed, I'm a bit surprised with your happiness at this new loan, although glad you are happy, obviously. I'd rather have the option to invest in a 12% loan than not have that option at all. I have no idea if I will invest or not (yet - DD ongoing); sometimes even 12% simply doesn't equate to the risks I say more like 14% or 16%.

I'm not positive the option made up part of the general Ts&Cs - it may have been, or may still be under one of the site's many Investor terms/FAQs etc. Unless stub8535 was also an early subscriber, if the option has now been removed, I suspect he picked the info up from p2pmoney.co.uk/companies > scroll down to ' Lending Attributes 2' > scroll down to ' Rebuilding Society' > under the 'Other' column you'll see ' 13' > scrolling down to note ' 13' below the table you'll see:- " In the unlikely event that a repayment is late, or only part paid, you can pay a 5% chasing fee to be at the front of the queue for repayments" Credit to @magenta14 for locating the link. easteregg, can you shed any light on this?

No there was nothing but the envelope itself. And the subject 'Ablrate C******m Update'. Isn't that what an empty container should be like?

Another one would be to scrap the incentive scheme, signalled on p2pmoney, where an investor can " pay 5% to get to the front of the queue for payouts" on defaulted loans. Not really treating all lenders the same and it is not advertised in order to allow potential investors to make up their own minds about the fairness displayed by such an offering. The process, and outcomes achieved to date, for payers of this fee are not displayed. Nor is the impact on the rest of investors. One must draw your own conclusions on that one. I do not know anything about this. Where did you get the information?

Some interest after more than a year of non-payment.
Still more outstanding interest, apart from the Capital whose repayment has been frozen.

PBL 155 seems more worrying.

I don't understand why you think the FCA should get involved. IMO, FS haven't done nothing wrong. They are providing updates, and it's not their fault if the borrower doesn't abide by the updates. FS would call in receivers if they thought there was no chance of getting a resolution. I'm not sure I don't think that FS haven't done nothing wrong I am not sure of the meaning of your post. It looks like there is a double negative on a negative. So do you mean negative or positive?

Well the champagne has been cooling all day awaiting the announcement of the 'worst case' scenario of funds on track to come through today. The ice is beginning to melt but I'm sure FS are just building up the suspense to tease Oh, I did not realise that we had to wait before starting to drink. Sorry, half bottle empty already.

"The <removed> has a 365-degree view" - wow, is that on only 360 days a year? It must be in a different space-time continuum. I expect the 5 degrees extra to refer to the difference in plane levels with resect to our space-time continuum.

What do you do of the snap election?
What butterfly effect will it have on P2P?

Or they could just get a 'roll me over' tick box, like the MT one. BHs could the keep their large lumps. I think the 'roll over' boxes makes it easy to forget that it is rolling over and each time it does might become more of a risk. I think many of MT's 'rolled over' loans would be classified as overdue on Lendy/SS, which flatters one's MT portfolio. Jack P Each time it rolls over on MT, the lenders have the option to opt out. (This apart from the usual ability to sell on the SM - for both platforms) I cannot see it as an overdue.
