Tax wise it is better to get the capital paid back and leave the interest payment until all capital has been repaid.
Otherwise you would have to pay tax on the interest even though you have not had full repayment of capital from other items of security.

I'm guessing this will be the next default on 29th. Nothing is certain in life, other than death and taxes, however should this default Id suggest there is more than enough collateral to clear the loans Even death is not certain on FS.
Newark loan: 6712822859
26/02: We have been advised that the borrower has passed away. Our charge on the property remains in place - we are now awaiting confirmation and contact from the executor of the estate, after which a further update will be posted.
22/03: Unfortunately, the previous update was incorrect - an error apparently caused by a third party confusing the borrower with someone with a similar name. The borrower has been in contact and will shortly be paying the outstanding interest to renew the loan.

I have just received the vote request regarding the outstanding interest on the Hotel loan.
Interest totalling £81,452.70 is outstanding to lenders, borrower is offering a total payment of around £16,290.54 (20%)
I presume that Assetz still hold first charge on the hotel and the second charges on the house and flat.
So with that level of security I do not expect to get offered an 80% haircut .
It's vote Option B for me. Reject the borrowers proposal and seek an alternative.

As Aberystwyth hotel loan is now up for a vote on us taking an 80% haircut on the interest still owed to us I asked a question on the Q&A as to where I could find the information about my outstanding interest as on this loan , and only on this loan , it is no longer visible.
Really not happy with this boilerplate reply
where can I find the amount of interest that I am still owed from this loan as it is no longer visible on "my loans" Thank you.

One way round this is to use the Hotspot shield app, it is a free personal VPN app that gives you an alternate ip address.
Available from android play store and the apple app store, I also downloaded it on my windows 10 tablet from the windows app store.

How the Jesus H Christ can a firm of professional valuers get it wrong by 75% , after we have exhausted all other avenues can we at least put a carp review on the firms trip advisor page ( or whatever valuers have as a feedback device) as I would hate to see these monkeys getting any more work anywhere near the p2p scene.
this will be my biggest loss so far in p2p in 7+ years

I get to stay in Wolvo for a week every January when the spring fair is on at the NEC, no way will I pay Brum hotel prices as they seem to go up by about 40% when the show is on, and also some good real ale is always available in town.
So I will have a look at it in 5 months when I am there and see what progress has been made

On my tablet, (Android 6.0 and windows 10 dual boot) if I turn it on its side into landscape mode I get the list view.
That is with the native Android browser also Firefox, In windows 10 Firefox needs landscape but the native Edge browser gives list view in portrait as well.

Yes a 6 or 12 hour bid limit would be much easier to catch

I live near this so if anyone wants updates, let me know I am just down the coast in St Ives, so next time I am up that way on the bike I will have a little look see as well.
The borrowers eco development in Carbis Bay is struggling to sell units with the holiday let only conditions they applied for when they got the planning permissions.
