Quote from today: LendInvest has issued a formal demand that is set to expire on the XXth of XXXXXX. If the borrower fails to repay the loan in full on or before the expiry of the formal demand, LendInvest will then look to appoint an LPA receiver to proceed with the recovery process. If the recovery process begins, this investment will move to the In Enforcement status and interest will accrue for the duration of the recovery process.
Not looking good for this loan, might be the first one to default for me.
Shame, as it is one of only two loans i have left with them.

I am missing a fair few:
1000076 06/01/2018 1000057 06/01/2018 1000087 06/01/2018 1000089 07/01/2018 1000079 07/01/2018 1000041 07/01/2018
Not overly concerned as the loan I am reinvesting in is moving as fast as I am in the gym after too much Christmas Turkey...
Regards,
Mike

Another tip for those who are new/ don't want the hassle of hardware / 2FAs etc. is to get a Revolut card.
I bought about £1,500 before Christmas (£500 in each Litecoin/Bitcoin/Ethereum) just to see how easy it was. The process was no different to swapping GBP for EUR or USD. 10/10.
Note: you need a premium account with Revolut which is about £6 a month.

LendInvest did this on many of their loans in 2016 before the "competitive market" causes rates to plummet.
For the record, I would buy 60-70% of B and 30-40% of A depending on the rates.
Worked for me and I would be interested.
As it stands, there is 0 reason for staying when you have a LTV 75% loan paying 6% which is simply insulting.

It was getting pretty expensive towards the end, it might be better to do it in reverse order and start with £52 working down as we bought presents in November.

We did the £1 a week challenge this year: Week 1 - £1 Week 2 - £2 ... Week 10 - £10 We stopped in November having saved over £1,000 for Christmas. It does work and we didn't notice it at all. Edit: I linked it but the link isn't working. Mike

I have enjoyed the comments, banter, information and news on this forum over the last twelve months immensely. Our "gang" has not only helped each other but the platforms themselves which I think has benefitted the industry as a whole.
I would like to wish everyone one of you a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year!
Regards,
Gibmike.

I use Poloniex for trades, simple and quick. Do they do long term investment or do you have to keep renewing the position? I physically buy the coins rather than use the leveraging. I am simple bloke, taking positions is what you do in a scrum!

Personally, my advice is to not invest what you cannot afford to lose.
I bought a small amount in May, a small amount of Ether, Ripple and Litecoin not much later.
My total investment (of my portfolio) at the time was 0.05% which is now worth 0.15%.
1) don't look at the headline coins. Bitcoin might hit $300k but conversely hit $6k. 2) Alt coins have a lot going for them. Ripple, IOTA, EOS would be better to look at with $100 each for example. 3) IF you insist on Ether/Litecoin/Bitcoin try Revolut. You do not hold the currency but you can buy at a good spread and not have to worry about storage/ theft.
It is either a massive bubble OR the beginning of a new market. Nobody knows and I don't claim to be an expert but I would ask you to review the alternatives and not follow the headlines.

"11 Aug 2017 at 5:33pm Post by stuartassetzcapital on 11 Aug 2017 at 5:33pm We are at a stage in the credit cycle where high coupon loans are likely to be very risky if they aren't being wanted and funded for less by the rest of the market and will not be ideal portfolio holds if the economy turns. AC is focussing upon high quality credits where possible for now and this necessitates a competitive interest coupon. Nothing is perfect of course but our average rate is down somewhat and average credit quality up which is the right place to be at this time. So 10% + loans will still be seen from time to time from us but this isn't time to be throwing money out of the door to otherwise unfundable property developers or businesses with very high LTVs in our view. " stuartassetzcapital "but this isn't time to be throwing money out of the door to otherwise unfundable property developers or businesses with very high LTVs in our view." Can you shed some light on this loan? The loan is tiny admittedly, but what is the reason for 6% at 75% LTV? It is a five year loan which after inflation is circa 4% and after tax about 3%. I would honestly have expected 6% on a 2 year loan or 8%+ on a 5 year loan? Mike

Assetz Capital 42.64% Lend Invest 5.60% Funding Secure 28.88% AblRate 22.60%
LendInvest is going, going gone by December.
Next year I will be looking to add a fourth/fifth as I need to bring them down to 20% each or thereabouts.
