Does it say that the FCA have completed their investigation into FS?

I've complained about the FCA complaints process now that my original complaint is 4 years old with no progress.

I’ve received email from FCA today re ‘your complaint about the FCA - Funding Secure Ltd’. Still investigating. Is this now all a waste of time? I think it was always a waste of time. Just made me feel a bit better to put in a complaint. I wonder how many years they'll keep it going?

I just opened a smart saver account but the day after I came across the new Chase accounts with higher rates so I opened one of them on their app and moved my money there. Chase wanted a photo of my passport page and a photo of me, as well as the usual other things. They must be using some AI to compare the two.

As 6 months have gone by since the FCA wrote to me saying they'd be in touch within 6 months (they haven't), I've written to them again to ask what's going on. I won't hold my breath....

Probably not going to help us much. The FCA are going after them for claiming to be FCA regulated when they weren't (+ some disappearing funds transfered to Director's personal bank accounts) . The FCA are unlikely to come into any criticism for that. In our case, the FCA can be critised for not regulating or adequately monitoring (or even checking on) a business that they had approved for regulation. They're not going to open themselves up to that.

Zopa are a bank and are behaving like a bank - e.g. when you send money to them, they get it in seconds. When they send money to you, you get it days later.
Shouldn't this Zopa area be moved to the "closed to retail investors" section now?

I always knew that there was a risk that the value of my investment could go down as well as up. I didn't know that the FCA were going to stand by while my investment was stolen.

When i try to make a withdrawal I get "You have no bank account to withdraw to." I guess that's because I haven't gone through the kyc/aml process yet because I've not had anything to withdraw until now.
I also guess that the "... and the Lendy support team will contact investors for any outstanding Know Your Customer/ Anti-Money Laundering requirements." part of the email applies to me and that I should wait to be contacted.

I replied to their email with my bank details, got an automated acknowledgement, nothing since. There's been no mysterious withdrawals from my bank account yet. As others have said, the details they ask for are only what's freely available on a cheque and debit card so I don't think the risk of abuse is very great.

I reckon it is based on the time one has been waiting for resolution, but if someone was offered more than the capital lost then the capital would need to be peanuts ( lucky one ) I managed to get my investment down to about £200 at the time I made my complaint (November '19). I have been offered £175. Due to subsequent repayments my current remaining investment is now down to just over £100 + some accrued interest. I should come out with a small profit overall, but was lucky that I chose to get out as soon as I saw things going bad.
