1year RYI No 399985 cancelled as over 2K due for repayment this month and the remainder over the next 3 months.
I honestly don't believe they would have been repaid until the due dates so there was no point in keeping RYI active.

RYI 374113 released between 10am yesterday and 10am today the 11/06/20.
Considering cancelling my 1 year RYI request as over 50% pays out by end of July and I think the remaining £2K will be redeemed before my request reaches the head of the queue.

Am I concerned someone went in what amounts to a metal box (car) from London to the Durham area - absolutely not. It may have been ill advised in terms of "lockdown" but the risk of transmitting infection seems really small and that's what the "lockdown" is all about - providing he did self isolate at the end of his journey.
What does concern me as someone who is elderly, has underlying health problems and who can't get a delivery slot from a local supermarket is people who feel it is acceptable to cough without covering their mouth. People who feel it appropriate to take an item off the supermarket shelf from inches away from me because they have time constraints. people who don't adhere to social distancing and people who consider it appropriate to gather in a social setting ie a BBQ without keeping an appropriate distance.
I have no real political "home" so no axe to grind but I feel that this political advisor is being hug out to dry when he should be just censured for being rather foolish.

I have equities. P2P, standard savings accounts like ISAs & gold sovereigns. Whilst the price of gold changes over time it's purchasing power doesn't. The money printed to cope with government debt (as in Germany pre WW2 when I believe wheelbarrows were used to transport money for shopping)) doesn't affect what you can buy if you use gold - plus inflation has little or no effect on it's purchasing power so it's, in my view, a good hedge for those like me who have a slightly nervous disposition. However golds purchasing power doesn't increase over time as equities tend to do so I personally prefer to invest the majority of my money in equities - but I do take a long term view.

Amazing to think there are 21 people who are struggling with the moral hazard of downloading an app to their phone that enhances our chances to get out of this mess. Stay safe and think of the front line workers who struggle with the fear of this very real illness everyday. I'm elderly and housebound but require very little help (mainly gardening and help to change lightbulbs etc). I keep in touch with family (who are in Australia) and friends (who are as decrepit as I am) by skype I have an elderly mobile that doesn't do more than send texts and take calls. Over the past 2 years I have only used a mobile 3 times when I attended OPD to book a return taxi Why would I want to buy a new phone so I can download the app? Since "lockdown" my life hasn't changed at all except for a hospital appointment that was cancelled. For the purpose of the poll I would class myself as "can't" rather than won't.

May I say I find this table very helpful and I appreciate the time and trouble taken in keeping it up to date.
Another RYI for the table. Ref No 399985 4K 1 year on 28/4/20 late morning or lunchtime.

Will they also half their fee for RYI and contribute that to the provision fund?

I made RYI requests 12/3/20. Received my 5 yr investment a while ago (sorry can't remember the date) Access Order No 374113 that I'm still waiting for.
WARNING I also made a 1yr RYI but forgot to leave a ridiculous interest rate for reinvestment and an early payment was reinvested which seems to have cancelled the RYI.

So I've bitten the bullet and have started to pour money into VWRL.
My strategy with shares until now (for the past 5 years) has been to buy LS40 & LS60 plus Vanguards Retirement 2030 in my ISA - all accumulators. All well and good for when my pensions start to pay out in 10 years time and I switch to drawdown.
P-2-P has been filling the gap for generating income and supplementing eating into my cash reserves. I managed to FIRE in 2012 and have had some side gigs in the interim, supplementing p2p income. So far expenditure has not exceeded income and so my capital "pot" has continued to grow in varying degrees.
Along with seemingly a lot of others, I have been withdrawing from P-2-P on many platforms in the last couple of years (just RS & AC left with any significant amounts) and in wondering what to do with this now excess cash capital lump earning pittance in savings accounts, I have decided to opt for VWRL and probably VIGBLB to create a slowly changing balance between equity and bonds to generate income during the next 10 years in my non ISA share account.
So I guess, yes, for me it is time to dump p2p and buy equities. Too many platforms failing or winding up or running into difficulties and changing the rules from under you. Trust is everything and I no longer have much trust left. Even with RS which I had decided to keep (prior to the virus hitting) I think I'd rather take my chances with shares from now on but keep wavering between selling down RS, or keeping, sell, keep. I liked the idea of splitting everything between cash/p2p/shares rather than eggs heavily in one basket or another, but sadly p2p, for me, has run it's course now.
So ISA shares for the long term - don't touch, save the allowance each year into and forget about and now my ordinary share account with VWRL & VIGBLB, stuffing a large amount into soonish and then dribbling in as and when. There if I need it and hopefully generating varying amounts of income quarterly.
This post is totally useless to me because the following has no meaning to me whatsoever. What exactly is VWRL, LS40, LS60. FIRE, VIGBLB and is whatever they are clearly understood by the majority of people who are likely to read or post on this website? Are your normal conversations littered with similar language in the wider world? If so do you expect the people you are conversing with to have a full understanding? I do understand exactly why some people chose to use technical language when there is a significant proportion of the listeners or readers who are not likely to be able to understand. It's a widely researched subject and I really do feel you deserve my pity.

Asking fellow members on a p2p website might not be the best place to seek medical advice (!) but curious to know what you would do if you had these symptoms. I wasn't worried until I read this which I thought was pretty good as it bridged the gap between "asymptomatic" people and those with moderate systems like a fever. I wondered was there anything inbetween and I think the answer is yes. patient.info/news-and-features/coronavirus-what-are-asymptomatic-and-mild-covid-19So, my main symptom is having an abnormal temperature of 37.3. In normal times I'm 36.X and with this I've felt very slightly shivery and very slightly everything that normally comes with a proper high fever (so I get mild headaches etc). I'm also definitely much more tired than usual. This though has been going on for maybe 3 to 4 weeks or more and I'd put it down to fighting against a gum abscess which I can't get treated at the moment due to dentists not working (its the kind that drains into the mouth every now and again). I'm not out of breath doing stuff except when talking or singing I might need a little more to breath in. ALso have a very slight but noticeable tickle at back of throat but not cough. Now though, having read that website I think I tick all the boxes for "Mild Covid-19". I went to the NHS covid symptom checker and it was clear they were only interested if the fever is a fever above 37.8 or a cough. So no test, just a load of PH warnings about nor going out for any reason including shopping. I'm thinking of emailing my dentist to see if he can rule out from afar if the abscess I have could be the cause - hopefully I'll get a reply Monday. Any thoughts from our noble and learned forumites gratefully received. Sounds like an infection but it could be anywhere ie UTI although more likely to be the abscess you refer to. Suggest you take paracetamol which will lower temperature and alleviate headache or Ibuprofen (after having eaten) which will also have an anti inflammatory effect. With Covid 19 you would expect a high grade pyrexia (above 37.8) rather than a low grade pyrexia. Suggest you self isolate for the weekend and phone you GP Monday, explain and ask for a prescription for antibiotics for the abscess to be faxed thro to your local pharmacy

Just checked my emails and 2 people have posted links from schools requesting donations for funds / materials as they are printing 3D masks for the their local NHS hospitals. Please consider donating as I think if we can invest in P2P we have at least a tenner to spare.
I'm sure you won't have far to search to find your local school who needs money to fund their efforts. If there are people in Sheffield who want the link to a school I'm more than happy to post a link but I'd urge you to support your own local school / NHS

My grandparents told me about the Spanish Flu (I am now quite elderly) when some of their siblings, I parent and all surviving grandparents died many many years ago. The situation was out of control and even at the start of the 20th century it was known that self isolation was the way to go. Not their fault they didn't have a real understanding of how viruses worked.
3 Weeks ago I decided that I needed to self isolate for at least 2 months to enable this to happen and bought products/foodstuff etc to enable this to happen although I think it may have been more prudent to have had enough for 3 months. I advised my close family to do whatever they could to mitigate their risk of contacting the virus and transferred enough money to enable them buy extra food (they usually only have enough for 4-5 days). They are quite distressed at the moment because they didn't take my advice and are finding it difficult to source fresh food so I'll be making my small stock available to them. My feeling is that food for sale now needs to be managed by limiting what is available to shoppers. I am very worried about how people with a limited income will now be able to feed their families in the coming month and I believe voluntary and governmental action is necessary. Sorry but I'm not wise enough that I know what this action could be. Perhaps lessons from the 2nd world war could be applied but I don't have the knowledge or expertise to offer an opinion.
In all honesty I think we should review the experiences of the Spanish flu virus of 1918 and learn lessons if we as individuals hope to survive.

Definitely clearer with todays repayments giving a good breakdown and one thing I had not noticed before was that FS are getting 5% from each recovery, why and where is it going ? Was going to post exactly the same question Surely FS can't be retaining these fees...can they? These should be distributed to lenders in the loans I would have though? I'd be happy if FS had to take the same "haircut" that investors have to take.

Not sure how relevant this is to this thread but since you brought it up, I thought I'd comment. Do you feel that one of the benefits of being in the EU was being able to import labour from eastern europe to do horrible jobs like clean our grandmothers' butts because the wages here are not high enough to attract local carers? The work might be "unskilled" but not many want to do it and actually I'd argue it is skilled - quite a big difference between a good caring carer and a carer who can't care less. I have a fried that runs a care home and specialist young person care unit. She pays High wages and attracts the best of the best. Her fees are appropriately higher and clients are happy to pay for the best. The problems are that we as a society make little or no preparation for our care if required in later life. Have a look hereThere is a rising trend in the elderly being sent abroad for dementia care to Thailand where the care is first class and affordable. As I saw with my own mother here she was only really aware of here immediate surroundings so could have been in any country. Cheap flights and accommodation make visits affordable. Although the person may not know visits the will be better cared for within their budget. So if care provider here made it a luxury home and pay staff accordingly it would probably be filled. Quite horrified by this "God" and his apparent support of shipping the elderly with a cognative imparement to Indonesia to save money. Why just the elderly, why not the middle aged the young or even children who have a disability. In fact why not decare you have Nazi tendencies and wish to establish camps where they can be killed as this is the most cost effective solution of all?

Will we get a breakdown of fees?
I also wonder why FS, when it was operational, didn't take action similar to the administrators. That's perhaps my biggest question.
I personally will just glad to be out of the shambles of a company called Loan Secure even if it takes some time.
