Perhaps Loanpad could give us some form of introduction if it is going to be more than the odd loan. Well, exactly. It seems that communication with investors is not one of LP's string points.

And about time too. Where is this news to be found, I haven't seen it yet? The loan report for 9456952. Ah, thanks. No fanfare then. Could just be a one off.

The rate of incoming funds is continuing to escalate, as is the average amount per investor. Which is not such good news, as it could lead to further reduction in rates paid to lenders, which are already significantly down.

I remain optimistic. I'll make a record of what was said and track progress. Hopefully it helps all of us. I thought of withdrawing all my money when the returns fell off a cliff a month or two back, but withdrew some and requested a response by the 10th or I was going to withdraw the rest.
I got a call on the 10th. Now I'll track what was agreed in the call.
Well optimist, tomorrow will be 2 weeks since Nadeem's promises to you were made. I'm looking forward to hearing how many of the promises were kept 😉 I feel like we've been down this path before..

Not forgetting the white elephant in the room , the same management team.
Yeah that's the bit that worries me. Just don't understand it.

In my view any thanks should be directed towards this forum for the invaluable discussion and insight which helped me to decide to significantly reduce my Holdings on LW. No thanks due to LW who merely did their utmost to muddy the waters further. So thank you forum! Sadly I still have a sizeable amount tied up on LW so am crossing my fingers I eventually get most of it back. I'd say r00lish67 in particular re LW. I wouldn't argue, fair point.

I say peerberry is exceptional atm. All my loans are current, and withdrawal is quick. no issues with Kazakh loans. Hi benaj, I have a small amount on Peerberry (all short term loans) and have been impressed so far, and was considering increasing my investment. However rates have recently fallen quite significantly from c11-12% typically to 9%. My understanding from PB is that this reflects tightened and reduced lending by originators and a reduction in risk to lenders. What's your view?

It's possible the reason for rate cuts is to slow down the influx of lender funds.

Now £313,568.20
If there are no new loans, surely this number will climb substantially?
If there are no withdrawals then yes. But the lockdown has put a lot of people in financial, distress so there might be a demand for funds. Do you think the kind of people who will be in immediate financial distress are likely to be investors in P2P?

One of the mods commented on the poll to indicate that at least 2 FO related accounts had voted in the poll. Thankfully, the poll itself has now been removed, as it was clearly flawed/skewed/biased. Good job mods! Hi greatmarko , we discussed with the mods and agreed to remove the poll not because it was flawed/skewed/biased, but because it turned into a rather negative thread. Edit: I do agree it could have been done better though. Maybe something for someone else to do at some stage. Presumably then, you asked for all the FO threads over the last year to be removed?

Remember that when LW switched to variable interest rates they very kindly agreed to divert the vast majority of their interest rate margin to the shield to limit the impact on lenders. This was very generous. Arguably it was LW's incompetence at overestimating net returns and then waiting until the last minute to do anything about the dwindling shield balance that led to them having to take that step, and lenders still took a big hit with their net interest falling to close to zero, so I don't think they have behaved especially generously. That is on top of them sending out an email in December that seems to have been misleading to most people regarding lender returns being cut (see other threads). Perhaps diverting interest to the shield would explain why their profit has gone to zero given no new loans being arranged, but it still wouldn't explain why revenue has fallen to near zero (unless payments from borrowers into the shield are not counted as revenue for some reason). Agree with you. They have been shown to be both incompetent and arguably untrustworthy, and nothing I am seeing in their current handling is changing that view IMO.

Seems the site is far more popular and successful than I thought. I am sure this poll is in no way suspicious Currently on PollsAnyone going to admit to voting for FO? Does anyone know how many FO related accounts there are? Could it be 4? Just a guess.
