If u r talking about the Reading House - NO - Total Write Off :-( How on earth was that a write off?! I could be wrong (so many loans, so many years) but I suspect this was one where they failed to properly secure the security, so they simply let the borrower keep the money and property.

They have already said that they will process payments from next Monday IF something else or someone else does not throw a spanner in the works and of course there is plenty of incentives for people to do just that. Don't count a penny before it's in the bank, and even then you never know who might come looking for it.

I'll be amazed when they let the proceeds of Charter house out of their death grip.

Perhaps "Further issues come to light", that are too complex to communicate as we wouldn`t understand in any case. Yes, what are you betting?

Does anyone know what this actually means in terms of what is preventing the recovered funds being returned to lenders and what it might take to get those funds released to us? A miracle? Well, the one thing I can be sure of is that as long as any funds are not in my bank account, somebody is scheming up ways to keep it in their own bank account.

These books were never supposed to leave Italy as they were of national importance. There was never consent to export them and senior management knew that. Also, the relationship was handled personally by R. Luxmore who was wined and dined by the attractive female borrower I’ll let you draw your own conclusions on the legitimacy of any updates etc but internally many challenges were made regarding this matter. Similar to the art loans, the borrower was regularly allowed access to the collection - and would take items on the promise of returning them… None of this surprises me one little bit.

This loan(2938283517) is still sitting on my account showing interest accruing daily, still not transferred to "available funds" despite the security having been sold a billion years ago. Last update says....
"Cowgill Holloway have concluded their Compulsory Liquidation and have moved the Company to dissolution, all properties have been sold by the LPAS received and a claim for the shortfall was submitted by the Administrators of Fundingsecure Limited. Steps to make the guarantor bankrupt are ongoing."
Does anyone know what this actually means in terms of what is preventing the recovered funds being returned to lenders and what it might take to get those funds released to us?

The Whitehaven loan was a clear case of FS lying to us, and they turned out to be blatant lies. They clearly said that they had seen the site. Apparently the site was clear and services in place and just waiting for the timber frame that had been paid for. Nobody from FS ever checked the site or they could not have given that update, and nobody checked to see that a timber frame had been paid for because there was no timber frame. Our borrower must have been absolutely gobsmacked when every time he updated FS on the phone, tens of thousands more appeared in his bank account. Then leave it a few weeks, make another call and boom, more money! FS didn't care, they made money either way.
Whatever the administrators are up to now will not be in our favour, this I predict with some certainty.

According to a post on FB, this issue is so important and urgent that many of the staff dealing with this are on holiday.
They're waiting to hear back from the judge to see if he has changed his mind. The judge is also on holiday for the next 3 weeks.
Really? Changed his mind about what? Seriously?

They still seem to be on pretty friendly terms from what I see, I wonder why DBW would suggest they are not? These two are as thick as thieves I reckon.

In Ablrate's January 2023 update, the Doncaster project was "due to be completed and up and running in April 2023" In Ablrate's May 2023 update, it "should be completed and running soon" The 1 year anniversary of the involvement of the new lender is 4 days away V plc's announcement about funding (linked to it buying more of AF's battery sites) was, in Ablrate's May 2023 update, at the stage where "there will be more information forthcoming in the week begginning 22nd May" --- Who fancies a crab's leg for tea? At £85 for one course? The wife and I just shared fish and chips here in the north east of England, that was a treat. It will remain so I feel, the £15,000 I have on the Ablrate platform has gone I reckon. How many years to sell two airplanes?

Well, Ablrate does seem as good as dead but I see David is living the dream on an £85.00 main course in warm and sunny Dubai.
