As a forum whose weltanschauungen is to quomodocunquize, I could not agree more RR. Have always felt a lack of jouissance that we have less of this. Just a shame than my extemporaneousness inhibited me promulgating this earlier. I detest those metathesiophilies and hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophiles who hold us back from ameliorating on our erudition. Come on, man!!!! Have another sausage! You'll have poor old Dr Johnson sweating in his grave. Respect!! Sausage? Guessing you're out of bananas then Grumpy, Yes..You have no bananas, you have no bananas today

I wanted to 'double like' that, but clicking the 'thumbs up' twice takes the first like away A doublelikeplusgood button as Mr W.Smith would say. Thanks for the thought You can always tell when it's a slow day on the P2x platforms by analysing the relevance of posts on the forum.

1990 Tyne Class Lifeboat & PBL6 have gone live on the platform.
Lifeboat is a roll over of the existing loan
PBL6 offers .5% cashback on predraw down bids & like PBL5 offers offers option of monthly or upfront interest (with no early sale on SM). Not as big as PBL5 so you would expect to fill without SS having to boost cashback. A few hours in and it has only just reached 25% funded, slowest take-up ever on savingstream with only 127k loaned against it in that time. Looks like a proportion of that has come from other PBL loans being sold on SM and diversified into it, so not new money just a re-cycling exercise. Not sure this one is going to fill without an additional cashback incentive. Maybe too many savvy investors waiting to see what the next move will be, and as there is a similar sized PBL at stage 3 wondering if SS will need to put the incentive back in to boost investment. Last additional cashback generated >£300k in less than 7 days so the money seems to be available if the right platform ask the right people in the right way.

Have just checked on my 1p loan, picked up to ensure someone could close their SM deal. No interest paid on it so guessing I will be holding that one until the loan completes or rolls. Shame because that 1p was earmarked to be the kid's inheritance, looks like they will have to make their own way in life now

Sure we all read it last time but just for completeness this is to inform savingstream that the valuation report on the Tyne Class is a missing link on the website.

Policeman pulls a guy over on the motorway and sees 5 penguins in the back of the car. He tells the driver that he can't do that and to take the penguins to the zoo immediately. A few days later he sees the same driver again, pulls him over and again sees the penguins in the back seats. He says he told the man last time to take them to the zoo. The man replies 'I did, they enjoyed it so much that I am taking them to the beach today'

Dont forget the option to take all Interest 'up front' was available on some of these loans, so there would be no monthly interest payments. If memory serves

That's as bad as the one on ClassicFM this morning: "As we say round here, Keep Calm and Karajan" Elljay,I get the distinct impression that you don't find my really /old jokes very funny Elijay The thread is called Dad Jokes for a reason. If any of them were actually funny they would breach forum rules for being 'off topic'.

As we are now moving into politically incorrect jokes I thought the below may be appropriate
A midget/vertically challenged/little person/dwarf/person of diminished altitude* (*delete as appropriate) lady goes into the doctors
Lady "Whenever I go out in the rain I get a rash"
Doctor "Where do you get the rash"
Lady "Well it's a little embarrassing, but it's my nether regions"
Doctor "If you can lift up your skirt I will take a look and see how I can help"
Two minutes later
Doctor "Ok it's raining quite hard today, so could you go outside this afternoon, have a walk around, and then come back in the morning and let me know how things are"
Lady "Ok"
The following day she returns
Lady "That's amazing! I spent the whole afternoon walking around in the rain and I have no rash, no pain, and am completely cured. Thank you so much, was it a cream you applied?"
Doctor "No I just cut a couple of inches off the top of your wellies"

Have not put any investment in Z for about a year now however I do recycle cash in it through their auto top up thingy, purely for platform diversification not for rates. Interestingly across all the new loans so far in July in my loan book I have averaged 6.3941%. That is across 23 loans so a small sample. Seems to have gone up quite significantly as previous months had included a large proportion of of 3.7%-3.9% loans whereas this month there are none, hence the blended rate has increased. Once you take off the 1% Z cost it is a 5.4% relatively low risk gain. So had they sent me the 1% cashback email it might have been worth a punt as 5.4 with 1% cashback marginally exceeds the current RS rates. Will now start rapidly withdrawing money from the account and see if I get an email and can be retrospectively included in the new cashback offer, or at least receive an email next time they decide to do another 'disloyalty promotion'. Once again a company that shows disloyalty to loyal customers and promotes loyalty to disloyal customers.

I gave instructions to relend payments at 6.3%. RS decided to place my order at 6.4% sometime after 10 o'clock this morning and put me back at nearly £500K in the queue. I suspect you haven't read the FAQs on RS carefully enough Oldgrumpy. When you set your reinvestment rate, you give an instruction to lend at no less than that rate. If the "market rate" for the day is higher than your instruction, RS gives you the higher rate to ensure you get the best rate on offer. In any case, why the concern at being £500k into the queue: that's less than 2 days' worth of lending on average for RS 5-year! Better step in here before oldgrumpy changes his name to veryoldgrumpy, or more correctly oldverygrumpy. Accepting your first comment regarding RS starting rates as per their FAQs, your second comment is either mistaken or shows a lack of understanding of RS queuing. This is not like English queuing where everyone stands at the back and waits their turn, this queuing system involves barging in, elbows and the occasional fisticuffs. Your comment that implies that grumps will only have to wait two days for a match is statistically incorrect. If that were the case some of the 50% and 99% offers in the queue will also be filled by the end of the week. Admittedly we are now at 6.4 and all my 6.4's are now matched so hopefully oldgrumpy may have been lucky on this occasion but would not want anyone reading your post to get the wrong impression of RS' queuing system.

Yes, 37 more investors signed up than this time last Friday. Assuming each one picks up just a little bit of PBL005, and as SS have said investor funds sell before U/W funds on the SM, there should be a reasonably steady market for anyone wishing to shift these. Thanks again Smee, am looking into Ablrate as well, and quite liking the proposition. Still rate SS (although comms are poor atm) but need something that can take surplus investments and boaty loans are obviously not it at this time of year.
