Definitely an 11th hour (59th minute) job .. do you suppose solicitors get paid interest by the second?? It certainly felt like someone was waiting until the very last minute before pressing the button to send the funds!

Nobody seems to have commented on here (it's on the website though) that all but 4 of these have now been repaid. Another 'well done, but please expedite the pipeline' .. my ISA is in danger of running aground. Did anyone get an email? The update was dated yesterday, presumably afternoon I hadn't logged in since the morning so I had no idea I had funds sitting there. I thought you were supposed to be emailing investors about repayments MoneyThing ? If it hadn't been for this post I may not have realised for some time being loan propertyless and in withdrawal mode. Looks like I'll have to wait until the site is fixed to make a withdrawal now too.
Oh, and while it is welcome news that four of the remaining tranches have repaid, there are still four more to go, so lets not count our chickens too soon. The borrower's company still isn't showing as 're-incorporated' on Companies House yet either.
Just to highlight, seven of the remaining tranches were repaid yesterday (£50,925), leaving a total of £29,100 (four tranches) out of the original £145,500. Regards, Ed.

Evening,
Whilst the tech team are just fixing the system error, I just wanted to say a personal thank you for all those that have posted on this thread (and sent us emails or called us), providing useful & valuable feedback on this topic.
We will happily share the results with everyone once we have given the formal poll a little longer (since there are more and more votes coming in each day).
Much appreciated and thanks again.
Kind regards,
Ed

Unfortunately, my preferrence will remain my secret as Monething's email service provider, SharpSpring, can't / won't handle 'disposable' email addresses and I no longer receive bulk emails from the platform.
In an email exchange with Customer Support I was assured this would be 'looked at' and subsequently..... << As for not being able to send emails to a disposable email address, we’ve asked why not and we’re waiting for a response. >> Now, five months further on, I'm none the wiser, possibly just the opposite! Perhaps, SophieThing , it's time for SharpSpring's response to be revealed. Apologies ianj - I had thought that this had been dealt with. I have messaged SharpSpring to ensure that it gets dealt with asap. Regards, Ed.

Can I get a mortgage on a leasehold property? Only if the lease remaining is more than 70 years, for most lenders, otherwise you will need additional security.
What can be offered as security? Generally lenders take the property you are buying as the only security for the loan, which is typically 70% of the value of the property, and ask for a cash deposit for the balance of the purchase price.source: www.moneysupermarket.com/business-finance/commercial-mortgages/The building isn’t owned so can’t have a mortgage secured on it and the lease will only have 32 years left. If this has any chance of filling, there must be a credible repayment strategy. When refinance becomes a problem, the next one is going to be recovering the capital from a leasehold business. MoneyThing - it would be helpful if you could comment on this, as at face value the contention that a commercial mortgage is an exit strategy option seems rather tenuous. Aldermore would perhaps be an obvious source for a commerical mortgage, but they require 40 years remaining on the lease at the end of the mortgage term. Will do - will post a comment on the platform tomorrow. Regards, Ed.
