Not been keeping track of which loans they were. I will. So far this morning I tried to get three offerings of 300/300/1000 and although they appeared in my summary they did not stay there. I have managed to grab two sub-100 Pound scraps that it seems mister speedy could not be bothered with. I know nothing of bots other than a little I read in a discussion about another site where one investor seemed to be achieving the impossible. I just know that despite constant monitoring of the loans page, somebody is doing it faster and I would love to know how.

I have sat here all morning refreshing. If there is 2K on the market it will be gone within ten seconds. I have "invested" in several loans only to find immediate is not fast enough. A couple appeared in my summary only to vanish again, presumably over subscribed? I don't know how these people are doing it, but they are seeing and investing in these loans the second they appear.

And again, 3 parts appeared in three separate loans and all gone within seconds. Not minutes, not even half a minute. A few seconds. How are they doing this?!

Well, I spent the whole day checking the site obsessively and managed to buy precisely nothing. Day before I saw some for sale, clicked invest, went back to double check the amount so as not to leave somebody with 10P and it was gone. Same story the day before. So how does someone manage to buy 15 parts?

If you can get it. For the third time I have seen loans for sale gone within 10 seconds. I'm starting to wonder if some sort of bot is working the site.

I suppose it makes sense given that some people seem to think that being identified before lending is the equivalent to being asked to hand over your first born. Once you have money on the platform and it's threatened with being frozen, chances are you are going to comply. I really don't understand why some people are so dead set against identifying themselves, it's not hard.

It's interesting though that some sites require full identification and others do not. My registration with ABLrate was stalled because their tracesmart system would not accept my details, not surprising as I don't reside fiscally in the UK. No ID, no investing.
Yet just five minutes after going on to FS I am clear and good to go based purely on the info I entered.
Personally, a company asking for certified ID gives me greater confidence in a company that does not. I am presuming that the company will require full ID before any withdrawal can be made as is the case with Bondora?

I fail to see what the big problem is. As someone has already said, it also concerns me more that it is so effortless to put money in some of these sites when they have made ZERO effort to find out just who is actually sending them money.
Certainly, they must surely need this information before sending money back, no?
I have just signed up for FS and I can now send money, no actual ID required. That worries me far more than having to prove my ID with certified copies of a couple of documents, that's as simple as popping in my bank.

I suspect we will be getting some this week, but it's nothing more than suspicion. I've been picking up scrap on the secondary market and boy, what an education that has been. There have been times where the loan on offer is gone within five minutes of showing up! Tell me about it. Blink & you miss it. I do detest the sub £1 bits of loans TBH. Almost literally blink and you miss it. There as one for 3500 that was gone within 15 seconds of me seeing it. I suspect that while demand is this high certain issues such as overseas lenders not getting text messages will not be a priority for SS.

Seems to me that one hand says tax must be withheld from overseas lenders, the other hand says it's impossible for the borrower to keep track of each individual lender (there may be hundreds of course) and to present records and the correct amount of taxes to HMRC. So, both are right. It's completely impractical to collect taxes for HMRC.

I don't have anything to do with plusnet, so I don't think that can be the explanation in my case. It's not even a furrin email address, it's yahoo.co.uk. New loan thread? That's an idea. Yup, I do get the thread update mails.

Well, I guess they are right! It is most odd though. Anyway, with no updates and no live loan notification text, I feel I am playing with one hand behind my back here, so to speak.
Anyone got any theories on what's happening with the missing update mails? I don't recall ever having had a problem with missing mails other than those that went in the spam folder, and they are not there either.

As in the title, still not getting updates. I have been in communication with SS and that comes through fine, but no updates from the same address? Also not able to receive text notifications of live loans due to overseas number. Not very satisfactory to be honest. Anybody else in the same boat?
I did however get an email this morning telling me funds were received, so why no updates and why can't we have loan notifications by email as well as text? An email buzzes my phone just as effectively as a text. As it is I am reduced to checking the site every couple of hours which is far from ideal.
