It strikes me that some sort of post batch check that catches this sort of situation shouldn't be too difficult. All the dates are known, all the capital amounts are known. Something along these liens? for any loan if today's capital differs from yesterday's capital by >%y then flag for review I don't think that would work for any account that has received an interest payment during the day -- would it? Probably not, no, but then again I think most of the platform's innards (at least in as much as we're talking about here) work on a batch basis. Anyway, peerlessperil's expanded and richer suggestion is a better one......

Fortunately I took a screenshot of my dashboard "Your total investment" balance on 12th September and it's more than tonight's total so I've been able to email those to AC as evidence that there's been a reduction, and they'll see that I haven't made any withdrawal at all so they can't deny something's gone wrong this time. "Reports" then "Balance Statements" and selecting each date should tell you any reductions. Mine shows £141 less today than yesterday. Thanks to IFISAcava for bringing this report to my attention. I didn't realise it existed. That's the good news. The bad news is that the numbers shown on the report don't match the total account balances I've made a note of at various times in the past. Does anyone know when these snapshots are taken? If I look at the report for a given day, am I looking at the state of my account at 0001 or 2359 on that day? ( chris?) I suspect the data refers to the end of the day, but I'd like to know if that's actually the case. Further to that, when I look at the difference between the account totals for 17/Sep and 18/Sep, I can see my GEIA value is up by 26p. I received an interest payment of 26p into that account on the 18th, so that explains it, I think. My MLIA value is up by more than the interest it received that day, however, so I'm at a loss to explain that. Aside from interest received, and SM purchases made at a discounted price -- I haven't had any of those in quite a while -- what else could have caused my account's value to have increased that day? Finally, does anyone know why the totals on this report wouldn't match the numbers on my Dashboard? The most recent balance report available (18/Sep) shows my account value to be £154 more than the value shown on my Dashboard right now. I haven't made a withdrawal recently, so that's not the answer. In fact, the discrepancy is actually greater than £154 because my account has received interest payments yesterday and today that won't be in the balance report yet. I guess what I need to do is take a screenshot of my Dashboard at midnight tonight, and then send it to AC support and ask them to explain why the balance on my Dashboard doesn't match the balance on the report for 20/Sep -- or 21/Sep if the balance reports are based on the account status just after midnight rather than just before midnight.

Since these incidents of money disappearing have occurred, I’ve decided to download the Balance report every morning. I’ve attempted to get the report from the 19th Sep. It’s not available, I don’t know if this is usual or a harbinger of more problems….. Can't see the 20th now? Also no activity in the manual investment acc?

Mick: Earlier today, I couldn't obtain a report for either the 19th or the 20th. Now I can.

Now that the balance statements are available for the last 3 days, my total amount looks about right following a large increase on the 19th which seems to have covered the lost money plus accrued interest. Faith in the figures restored (more or less!) although I have emailed Assetz for an explanation for the drops.
