I get this message from time to time when I tether from my phone. I guess 3 manage to get their IP address on some blacklist, or someone who is actually banned is also on 3, but it seems a rather old fashioned way of keeping bannees from signing up again.

Unfortunately we had to block a whole range of IP addresses owned by Three for their mobile ISP service to prevent spammers who were signing up in the dozens every day (presumably by some bot service using a captcha solving service) ... the forum was becoming swamped and the spam posts were being added faster than we could delete them and ban the accounts. We can possibly look at removing the block and see whether the spammers restart. How many others use Three ? It would be helpful if when you get blocked from signing into the forum, that you note the IP address you are currently assigned ( www.whatismyip.com/ ) and PM it to me when you next have access. |

One way round this is to use the Hotspot shield app, it is a free personal VPN app that gives you an alternate ip address.
Available from android play store and the apple app store, I also downloaded it on my windows 10 tablet from the windows app store.
