Auerbach is a very well-known and respected artist. His work will hold it's value and usually increase.

I have asked FS about this- this painting is not the same one and is in their secure vault
Sorry if I confused anybody as I guess I should have checked more carefully but I have never heard of 2 paintings with the same name by the same artist etc...
However not sure if this painting is worth more or less than the other one but clearly "worth" a fair few quid regardless

Van Gogh's Sunflowers and Monet's Water Lilies come to mind. As for me I'm always painting my kitchen but I don't suppose FS would lend against that.

As for me I'm always painting my kitchen but I don't suppose FS would lend against that. Just tell them it's worth £800,000 and you will not borrow more than 70% of its value and there wont be a problem.

That's correct Sarah, Auerbach famous for painting the same subjects over the years, family, friends and bits of Camden Town
