Personally speaking I'm much more interested in 2017's balance sheet than I am in 2016's PnL.

Personally speaking I'm much more interested in 2017's balance sheet than I am in 2016's PnL. Because of the time taken to file I think the 2016 BS provisions should take into account all material post-balance sheet events until date of signing so should be, within reason, ‘true and fair’ as of now and Moore Stephens know their onions.
